Did the size of the book influence you when u buy it?  | |  When i was younger, i was hate the big book who have 800 pages, don't know really why... After readin my first good one, my opinion change.now, nothing can stop me hehe. All subjects all size bring me some books!

If I think the book is well worth it, I don't care how much it costs. The only problem I have with big books is that it makes my arm ache while I read it. LOL!

And get some mediocre grade for all that trouble and anxiety. Now that I do not have that obstacle I have the complete works of William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe (I REALLY love his poems), -- most of Oscar Wilde, I think I'm missing a few works ...
The difference is that I'm deciding for myself what to read, not some school curriculum, and I don't have to compete with thirty or more others.
H.P. Lovecraft short stories are my current favorite. "The Other" blew me away ...

| | | 5. muscare (1147) | 3 years ago |  Being a Stephen King fan, large books don't worry me too much, as a good many of his are well over 500 pages. The only problem I have is that they are a bit weighty to read, especially if they are hard backs, and if I'm trying to read them in bed! I actually think I've only read a couple over 800 pages though.
