Has anyone taken the GRE?  

i have take tha GRE last year. i did get a satisfactory mark in verbal. however, my math is full mark. as for me, math just like a piece of cake.
according to my experience, i think you should do some simulated papers about math. though i got the full mark of it, but i never did any simulation before exam about math, so i felt very nervous when i first met them. i think as long as you do much practice, math is really a easy thing.

i will take this exam the next year my friend.and i intend to participate a course this winter.i dont think the mathical part of GRE is quite difficult,but the verbal is.my bottleneck is vacabulary.since english is my foreign language,i have to remember thousands of words in dictionary.it's tough and arduous.my suggestion of learning math is that you should make more exercise and sometimes turn to teachers for help.asian students always do good job in math,so dont worry about your gift.hehe

I havent taken gre yet, but i am planning to take gre to pursue my higher studies abroad. I am seriously preparing for it right now. I have a lot of materials with me which i think would suffice and i dont have time for going to gre classes. i am planning to take gre next year, by this time.

Well i did take the gre general test and scored 1410 with 800 in quant! i guess its easy to score in quant. i did not take any classes! all i depended on was gre bible and big book. Use these two and you will surely benefit. Also give the powerprep when u have just a few days to go!!! it is very indicative!!

i dread taking this stupid exam. i will be taking it within a month, and i'm terrified about the math section. thankfully, some of the schools i will be applying to don't even require it.

I highly recommend studying - A LOT if you're not up on your math. I hadn't had a math class in 7 years when I took the test, and studying REALLY helped. I used GRE for Dummies, and not only did I pass, but I got a GOOD score! If you're a strong writer, you won't have to worry about the verbal or writing, ALTHOUGH the GRE for Dummies book really helped get used to the analogies and basically what to expect. I don't know, but I would guess my high score was because I really studied! Good luck!

I have only practice on a few tests, but I have used www.number2.com and www.mygretutor.com, and they are really good, and don't cost an arm and a leg like Princeton and Kaplan, which are a rip-off!
