Tooth brush

Well I use manual tooth brush, but I do not know which are better, I never try an electric one...

I have used Sonicare before and it is OK, but I prefer the Braun OxyJet Professional which has a really good dental irrigator built in. The toothbrush is cordless rechargeable and has many useful changeable heads including a polishing head and one that sort of flosses. It has a tiny head for getting into small spaces and a variety of soft and hard regular sized heads. I bought mine on eBay, which is where I always get a great deal of the replacement brush heads too.

The OxyJet 8900 station is compact and durable and all of the attachments feel really good (and stash inside the device which is very tidy!) Although it retails for more, anything around $100 USD is a good price and well worth it. For some reason a lot of dentists don't know about the better quality dental irrigators and therefore neglect to tell patients about them. After I told my own dentist about them, he was open-minded enough to look into the matter and started using one himself and now even sells them in his office.

There are also electric tooth brush on sale in the big supermakets in my area, but they are too expensive. I have not used them yet for this reason. I have been using manual tooth brush only. I am used to them already and I love to use them.

But what is the good of using an electric tooth brush? Has the doctor give any comments about that, please? I would be interested to know the information. Thank you in advance for your response.

I had a Sonicare a few years ago, but to be honest with you I found it inferior to brushing with a normal toothbrush which kept my teeth a lot cleaner. When I was using the Sonicare, I always had to have scaling and polishing when I visited the dentist which wasn't the case when I used the standard toothbrush. Some people though, say they are great, but I would not buy another one.

I have never used a electric one, mines has those special brissles on it though and I floss and pick at my teeth too and use a tounge scrapper as well, I would never share with anyone else for personal reasons, mostly because I am a little germaphobic.
