What causes ratings to go down?

the people that rate you, if they don't like what you are writing or how your responding to a discussion, they downgrade you. sucks, but that's how it works.

i believe ratings go down when somebody clicks the negative button, rating your comment or discussion as such. this gives us the freedom and authority to rate discussions and responses based on our perception as to what is beneficial to the mylot community.

however, i think this authority should not be left to us because people are imperfect and thus personal opinions can be miscontrued. too bad for you dear, you will have to wait till many people click pluses on you before you regain your ranking. bless you!:-)

People can just be so simple minded. I will go and check out a number of your discussions. If they are appropriate I will give you a plus rating on them and see if we can't boost your number back up. Someone did this to me too. I am sure they don't like the fact that I speak out AGAINST child molesters and violence. Peace!

Most of the time ratings go down b/c someone has negative rated you. Some ppl do it just for spite.

I think that the Star rating would go down when you are responsing some of the discussion and they rate it us - negative in sign.......

Old discusssion I know -- but you're back up to an 8. Congrats. The highest I've been is a 44/100 which is a 4. I'm back down to 39/100 today. Guess I pissed some people off last night.=)

The lower your rating the higher your IQ. A 10 rating signifies a top level moron.
