The tallest building in the world will be in Dubai  | |  Some days ago I read that a building developer in the Emirates has claimed the record for the world’s tallest building.
They say its Burj Dubai tower, still under construction, which has reached a height of 512.1 metres and 141 storeys.
The Burj Dubai is expected to be finished in 2008 and will reach nearly 700 metres in height, with approximately 160 storeys.
The exact final height is being kept a closely guarded secret by the developer, maybe to prevent other constructers from challenging the record.

| | 2.  laurika (2674) | 3 years ago |  I was wathing 60 mintues this weekend and there were also about Dubai.I think it is great city and I would like really to go there.I am sure it would be soon dream for a lot of people to go there.Yeah I have seen how should look this bulding, but I am not sure I would like to live on the top of it.I have fear from hights, so i would be sick probably every day.But I would go to look there.By the way I read it should be about one km long, do you think you could see something from that building?I mean being so high?
