Santa Clause |
|
What is everyones opinion here. When your children are or were small, do you tell them there is a Santa?
I wasn't raised believing but I did go along when my children were young . I did however try to wean them from that belief as soon as possible. In a way I loved the idea of the make believe world because they loved it and a childs' world at a young age is mostly dreams and fantasys. At the same time I always felt a little twinge of guilt for leading my children to believe something that would later be found to be false.
What do you think about this?

1. giftsandbagscom (12032) | 3 years ago | I was never going to break my back shopping and tell her a secret man bought it. She never was told by me there was a manta Claus. I told her mommie was Santa and that was that.

I wasn't sure for my own children if I wanted them to even know that " breaking your back " for a living was even a part of life. They have time to learn all the tougher issues. I just wanted them to enjoy childhood.
Thanks for posting!

2. gobindsing (429) | 3 years ago | Yes you tell them there is a Santa Claus, because as children, we also wanted to have Santa bringing us gifts. Children grow up quickly and start to understand, didn't your parents tell you about Santa Claus?

3. xboxboy (1813) | 3 years ago | Santa does exist and lives in the south pole with mrs claus. the toys are built by the elves and santa works all year helping to fix the sleigh and looking after all the reindeer. my mommy told me so.
my daddy says that mrs claus is a fat lazy slapper who sits on her arse all day drinking tea and flicking cigarette butts at the elves

5. THKOhio (295) | 3 years ago | My children were always told about Santa. In our opininion, Santa IS real. Santa is the spirit of giving to others that lives in each of us. I hope that my children never lose that spirit, or their belief in Santa....they are now 21, 17 and 14, and they still enjoy being Santa for someone every year.
