This week has been a bad one for me |
|
I suffer from migraines and this week has been a bad one, I think of two reasons why this could have happened. 1 I drink too much coffee; 2 There was a bad thunderstorm on Tuesday and that was when I got the headaches. I use medication to prevent and ease the headaches but this one lasted 3 days and I was not the best of company. I feel better today but still have a wonky head. I am trying to stop drinking so much coffee so this might help. Who else suffers from migraines and what do you do to help yourself get through them. HUGZ from Kitten1954

kitten1954 (1022) | 9 months ago | Thanks, I will give it a go. My nana used to have cider vinegar every morning. I tried it too, just like the garlic and stuff like that, but I never kept it going. Might have to start having it again. HUGZ from Kitten1954

2. ElicBxn (6946) | 9 months ago | I actually find, when I can stomach the stuff, coffee can help a migraine. By stomaching the coffee, well, I do get sick to my stomach when I have a severe migraine. I find that caffine can help in other forms as well, infact, many over the counter headache medications add caffine to help the other active ingredients.

3. spiritwolf52 (2050) | 9 months ago | I usually do a Reiki self-treatment. I also take feverfew. It really depends on how bad it is but Reiki does work.

Since one of the last nerologist told me once he saw my mri that I have had this since I was a tenager. It does make sense looking back and remembering things.

| 6. teteimathews (72) | 7 months ago | Hi kitten1954, Sorry to know that you suffer from migrain headache. I too have migraines. I used to suffer too much, and I still suffer but not as much as before anymore because I take care of myself. 1. Stop taking coffee completely. 2. Drink lots of clean water a day (at least 2litres a day). You can get headache due to dihydration. When you drink water do not drink too much at a time. You will keep looing. Once you empty your blader only you drink the next glass again......then you keep doing. 3. Try to avoid depression, sadness, hyper tension, etc.....Remember, a happy heart is a medicine!!!! 4. Do not sleep late. Sleep early in the night and wake up early in the morning. You need to get at least eight hrs sleep a day. 5. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. All the points I have mentioned above are what I practice. I don't suffer from migraines like before anymore. The last time I suffered was six months ago; it was due to depression because of the death of my grandmother. If you carefully follow the above points, your migraines will surely improve in few days time. ALL THE BEST AND GET WELL SOON!!!!
