What exercise equipment do you enjoy using most?  email this discussion to a friend?

For me I will say that I like the treadmill since it’s the only exercise equipment that I have tried. I would say that stationary bike looks nice and fun too. I haven’t tried it though. Hope I would have one too. But I am a lazy person I don’t like to exercise. It’s better to jog actually. But here in my place it’s not really great to jog around here. There are lot of pollution here. And the place is really not that wonderful. Though in the early morning try to jog, I have tried it and it’s nice too. I would like to job in a more beautiful place where there is lots of place that I stop for a rest. Since here if you jog around the place, you just can’t stop anywhere since it’s a residential place. There’s only one place to rest. It is the circle where some chairs and plants for people to relax and see some view.
Besides the treadmill and stationary bike, others use weights to exercise. I really like using weights. It’s really hard to do that. It requires discipline and determination to do that always. And I believe that we must also fit enough to do some weights. It’s not just for everybody. You have to have some instructor or guide before you do that. Since you should not try at once the heavy weights, you should start from the lightest weight.
And there are some exercises where you use one machine where you will develop your resistance training. I forgot the name of this exercise machine but I have heard it’s the exercises machine that burns more calories. It is really good for those who want to slim down and lose weight. They say that treadmill will not really make a person thin or lose weight but it’s actually good for the heart. The treadmill is more of a cardio exercise.
I remember that there are two kinds of treadmill. One is manual treadmill. And the other is the automatic treadmill or the electric treadmill. I would say it’s much easier to use the electric treadmill.

For me I like just plain ol' walking the best . It dosn't cost anything and it's low impact on joints .

Of corse in the winter that's hard to do so I do agree that we need a backup. I like the stationary bike the best I think , and they don't take up much room . They are compatible with incline and stair in that if you increase the tension you can work on muscles and less tension will allow you to move much faster and you recieve a cartiovascular workout.

I really enjoy my treadmill, as I can't get out to walk in the morning and I don't like to walk alone after dark. I really liked the stationary bikes when I was going to the YMCA, too. I only liked the style that leaned back a little bit, though, as opposed to the ones that sit straight up. By back and rear don't like the straight bikes. The reason I like the treadmill the best, though, is it seems to be the one that I will really stick with and do.

I can't afford the treadmill I want. When I go to the casinos overnight I use their exercise rooms. One has the treadmill that is programmable and it also has the incline option to incline the tread as you walk. A great workout. Like stair walking and walking at the same time.

Have you tried a used sports equipment store or Craig's list? I was amazed at the treadmill I got for a small amount of money compared to new ones!

morning jointoearn! i like the treadmill too .because the treadmil is the only exercise equipment i own.it is my only mean of transportation too. making exercise by treadmill is good for your heart and lung. It can also prevent the ageing of your brain.what's more,It can also activate your hormone.every day,i go to work by treadmil,so i am a turely cyclist.

The only excercise equipmetns I have are weights, like dumbles. I don't have any problem jogging, since I can make a run everyday here around our place. I also play sports, like darts, billiards, ping-pong and basketball, so I don't have problem about my reflexes.

Personally I don't care for treadmills or stationary bikes. I prefer to do my walking outside in the fresh air (I live in the mountains so there is plenty of that!) My dog prefers it that way too. And I love riding my bike outside too, but at the same time that living in the mountains makes walking so nice, it makes riding my bike really hard!

The only 'equipment' I like to use is a Theraband and I LOVE my mini trampoline! I put bouncy music on and have a blast! In the research I did on mini trampolines (known as 'rebounders' I read that bouncing on one burns more calories than jogging and is easier on the joints.

if you mean do I get tired when I jump, the answer is I get so tired that my legs will hardly hold me up. I jump till my heart starts beating really really fast, I mean so fast that I'm afraid I'll have a heart attack if I keep going, but it's so fun I can't stop, so I just barely bounce until my heart rate slows down a bit then I go at it again. The sweat ends up rolling off me practically by the bucket full.

If you meant do I ever get bored with it the answer to that is more like just not in the mood for so much fun. And then I do other things...like vacuum or something.

All I do is walk and bike. So the only equiptment I use is my bicycle and some 2 pound weights for when I walk. That is about it for me.

Hi jointoearn, I used to be active in going to the gym before I got pregnant. My favorite exercising equipment was the treadmill. I loved to jog using this machine. I didn't really like like stationary bike, I found it so boring. I did use some weights before but those very light ones. I feel that if I used the heavy ones I easily get muscles. And I don't want to be bulky, just leaner.

well i use the walking method and also the best equipment i have is my 3 babies.they get on top of me and i lift them up in the air like doing push ups and stuff and they love it and i am getting my exercise at the same time.also we do alot of playing tag and hide and seek so i am always going.or i will put them on top of my legs and push them up,its so much fun for them and great exercise for me.

I used to love doing that with my kids when they were smaller! They have gotten too big now (over 50 pounds) so it hurts my back too much. It was definately fun while it lasted, though.

I like the elliptical runner machine. You get just as good of a workout, if not better, than the treadmill or stationary bike, but it's less stressful on your knees and ankles than a flat treadmill.

I found the elliptical machine to be rough on my back. Of course, it is also something you need to work up to. I remember the first day I did it I only lasted 3 minutes! Oh, I felt so terrible. Over time, though, I was up to 45 minutes about every other day.

You do need to build yourself up to working out on it for longer periods, but you just need to start out slow, and remember to keep your back straight. It will help to alleviate/prevent most of your back pain.

I like to use the treadmill when I want to get a cardio workout, but mostly I like to use anything with weight resistance. I find that weight training is the best way to tone the body and get rid of any fat. I do like to end every workout with about 10 min of cardio though and that's when I'll use either the treadmill or the stationary bike.
