What would have to be the most mindless, boring movie you have watched. For me is was the Aussie movie "Picnic at Hanging Rock". It was supposed to be based on true life. It was about some schoolgirls who went missing while on a picnic at "Hanging Rock". I had gone to the movie with a Friend Girl (No not girl friend) we both had to keep pushing one an another to stay awake. I cannot remember if this movie received any awards, but I sure hope it didn't. Let us hear about your movie that was the pits to watch.

1. ChaChaRose (115) | 10 months ago | Wow, it's funny, I really likeed 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'. I think there was some descrepencies over how true these events actually were, but regardless, I found it very intriguing. I can understand it no being to everyone's taste, though. As for a movie I found boring; I recently watched Sommersby with Jodie Foster and Richard Gere, and found that quite a chore. Also, Regarding Henry with Harrisin Ford. I'm sure there are more.

Goodie123 (6885) | 10 months ago | Hi again raychill, It is funny, how we start watching a movie that is so bad we wonder how it got to be made, but we still watch it. I watched a movie one night with my son and his wife. They were absolutely engrossed in this movie. It was so stupid I kept laughing. In the end I asked them if it was supposed to be a serious movie or a funny one. Oops to me, it was a serious one. I actually thought maybe it could of been made into a kids movie no problems at all.

raychill (3491) | 10 months ago | I'm such a movie nerd I just completely get engrossed in movies. So I can pretty much sit and watch any movie no matter how bad it is. But that's the joy of movies, somehow they're always entertaining!

3. Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | Do you mean besides that movie about that rich, spoiled chick and the poor hard working boy on that big ship that sank, Goodie? And then she used him up and hogged the raft at the end so that he drowned while she went on to enjoy her life? And later, she threw away that necklace into the ocean rather than selling it and using the proceeds to feed a small village for a year? I wish I could remember the name of that stinker of a movie! It was so horried. Oh, and the worse part was the soundtrack! My goodness, that woman singer screeching like a dying goat. What was the name of that movie?!
| |
| |
Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Ow Gee I think it started with a T. She was a bit selfish, throwing away a perfectly good necklace. I dont think I have ever heard a screeching dying goat before, could you hum a few lines for me please.
| |
pyewacket (8065) | 9 months ago | Talking about the movie where the ship hit an iceberg, right? Yes, believe it started with a T, if memory serves me, and my heart will go on
| |
Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Forever. Gee we make a beautiful singing combo.
| |
Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | I have had the misfortune of hearing a screeching dying goat, Goodie. Actually, the goats sounded better than the woman who sang that wretched song for the pitiful movie.
| |
Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Oh Boy she must have been bad, if the goats sound better.
| |
Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | I can only guess that it was a low budget film and that's all they could afford. In fact, it just may have been a goat.
| |
Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Yeah goats are pretty cheap. Ho Ho 26 points to go.

Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | 25. I don't think you have 25 discussions I haven't yet responded to, Goodie.

Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | I dont think I even have 25 total discussions.

Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | You have nearly 40 and I'm making the best of it. If it drives you crazy, tell me and I'll stop and pick on someone else.

Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Oh No keep going, this is better then housework anyday.
| |
Transdisc (13870) | 9 months ago | Oh wow! All my life I've dreamed of hearing a woman say that to me, Goodie!
| |
Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | OMG, I will have to choose my words a bit better from now on.LMAO

4. dfn12968 (5588) | 9 months ago | God, there have been so many I don't know where to start. I fell asleep 20 minutes or so in to Snow Falling on Cedar. Blech! Gosford Park was also a snoozer, although I am probably one of the few who thought so. See, the problem with your question is that to me mindless is not always boring. I have seen many mindless movies that are hysterical and many intelligent (supposedly) movies that put to sleep. I'll have to think of a combo of mindless and boring and come back at a later date.;)

pyewacket (8065) | 9 months ago | Oh..ever notice that many of the movies that win the Oscar are boring as hell...probably going to get scrambled for this, but I remember seeing one Oscar "winner"..LA Confidential..sorry just couldn't see the fuss over it

Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Oh yes, the first of those was Barberella wasnt it. Definetly not todays type of movie that's for sure. I cannot beleive the rubbish we used to sit through at the movies, only because it was the only place in town to go of a saturday night.

pyewacket (8065) | 9 months ago | Ewww....Barbarella with my favorite actress Jane Fonda..uh, NOT....No the first Valley of the Dolls was actually good, it had Patty Duke in it, who was supposed to be a Judy Garland type person who got messed up with pills to keep her going, Barbara Parkins...forget whose character she was supposed to be similar to and Sharon Tate (the same actress that was later murdered by Charles Mason and his gang)

6. reinydawn (2637) | 9 months ago | Whoa, I could name millions of them... The one that comes to mind quickly is "Clerks". We didn't even make it half way through and that was only because we kept thinking "Why did we rent this movie???" We had also rented "Clerks 2" but never even put it in. Someone mentioned award winners that were awful, and my vote for that was "Brokeback Mountain". It was a horrible story. Well, I didn't see much of a story to it, it was just all about the hype of two guys! It's like the movie got the awards because of what it was, not how good the story-line was or how good the acting was. Just how much media hype and upheaval it could get. The whole way through the movie we kept saying "This WON awards???"

Goodie123 (6885) | 9 months ago | Isn't that annoying. Or someone says "Oh you must watch this movie it is great" So you hire it and all you can say is "WTF" Dawn have you seen the Bear, we cannot find him.

reinydawn (2637) | 9 months ago | The Bear??? I vaguely know who that might be, but I can't pin it down... You know me, nothing stays up top too long...

7. wolfie34 (10480) | 9 months ago | There's been so many, naturally! I think for me Speed has to be the all time numero uno for me, that was a g*d damn awful film, I got so bored with it and I think I couldn't think of anything more boring to do at the time so I continued, there were so many continuity errors in the film it was highly laughable, I got angry with the film in the end, it was a waste of time and it got my blood pressure up, plus it had Keanu Reeves in it, I can't stand him ewwww or that other chick, whatsherface! Never seen Hanging Rock to be truthful. Speed springs to mind, I'm sure I can think of others
