Actualy, the larger part of illegal immigration comes from the mexican border, whether they are mexican, or south americans just passing through mexico. I didn't say that the majority of hispanics are ilegal, What I said was that mexicans sneak here and demand rights.

The sad fact max is we now have an estimated, ESTIMATED, 12 MILLION people who are here illegaly. To try and deport that many people would be a fiasco. that would be like trying to empty nearly HALF of Canada's population out in one shot. So you realize the scope of the problem. I suppose you could back up busses to these protests and just start loading up but some protests have numbered participants in the tens of thousands. So we are left with tightening the heck out of the borders, deporting criminals and getting the ones left documented and working.

Oh my god, cops asking for ID from protesters? I live in Arizona and Maricopa County's wonderful sheriff Arpaio was under scrutiny for going up and asking street vendors for their ID's to prove they were citizens or legal immigrants... then arresting the ones who weren't! Bravo, I say!

The thing that really gets to me, though, is the protesters who wave signs that say things like "immigrants aren't criminals." Uh... legal immigrants aren't, but doesn't the term ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION mean something to these people??? You do something illegal, then yes... you technically ARE a criminal!

There is actually closer to 20 million illegals in the U.S., which is comprised of mostly people from Mexico, but can also consist of Koreans, Chinese, etc. The ones who get the preferential treatment come from Mexico, as they are the ones who are allowed to have their protests demanding amnesty and rights, and also proclaiming they are going to take back certain parts of the U.S. They have La Raza and the Aztlan movements. They fly their flags and take the American flag down and either burn or desecrate it in some other manner, or they fly it upside down. The best thing to stop the illegals is for businesses and invididuals not to hire them. The big problems in the U.S. from things I've read about finding out if someone is illegal, is that there are only certain organizations that have a "right" to ask and then do something. Local law enforcement agencies are either told not to ask, or they don't want to.

Isn't it against the law to fly a thorn,or altered,or upside down flag in the US??There's an old law that they could use to weed out trouble makers...

It's getting to feel like they want to "islamize" the rest of the world.(by islamize I mean all other religions,not only muslims)

Maxpower, I very much agree with you for the most part. But, I would really hope that you all realize it is NOT all Muslims or any other nationality that feel they should change the laws in a new country they have entered. There are so many muslims that are grateful for the new opportunities available to them and really do try to assimilate as much as possible. Generalizations is what reactivates hate and intolerance. I understand your need to rant, but please make sure you don't make sweeping judgements.

I have a few friends in all beliefs,and they are the ones that want to adapt.I have a few muslim friends right here on Mylot!!

If people don't want to wok out in front of a window they can work out somewhere else. That is their choice! But frosting the window takes that choice away from them. This what makes this country great, the freedoms we have and people like this are slowly taking our freedoms to choose away.

In Quebec,to my knowledge,we don't fund any religious schools.There are some,but they have to teach the basics of the schooling program from the government.

We have no more crucifix in our schools,and no religious signs in our government buildings.

I think you're absolutely right.They create their own "Ghettos"(I hate that word),and only shop and live among themselves.In Montreal some of the Jewish part has a fence and their own policing!!!That should not be allowed.The Hell's angels have been fighting anti-bunker laws for years but the government lets the Jewish people build a 10 foot fence.

What you have described in your country is happening here in the UK. These (Muslim) immigrants flee their oppressive countries to live free in Western countries but instead of adopting the customs and lifestyle of their adopted country, they get the rules severely manipulated to favour them. Muslims are permitted to wear their customary dress in schools, et al, but yet Christians are suspended or sacked for wearing a cross or Crucifix. A few months ago, a Christian woman won her case against BA who suspended her without pay for wearing a cross pendant. Even more recently, a teenage student was suspened for wearing a cross. She stood firm and refused to remove it so the school suspended her. The courageous girl continues to stand firm.

Religion - organised religion - is more trouble than it's worth. The purpose is to control the masses and wealth and property as well. Spirituality is MOST important as we are all great spiritual beings.

The sooner ALL organised religion vanishes the sooner we'll have a more peaceful world. We need to embrace our diversity and learn to live and let live. The difference in cultures will probably remain for a long time to come but ALL must learn to live in peace.
