lotterylover (4816) | 3 years ago | Would you then find a seat where you would be by yourself or do you go and set by a friend? I usually sit by myself. I am used to doing that as my wife seemed to end up sitting on the front row because she played the piano. Don't know why I never went up an sat by her. During the sermon she usually came back to where ever I was.

peavey (3792) | 3 years ago | If I go with a friend, I sit with them, but if I go alone, I don't seek out anyone to sit with.

3. cher913 (13600) | 3 years ago | it depends on what church you go to i guess. i attend one that i have attended for about 20 years, so i know everyone there, so if i had to go alone, it would not be a big issue! but if you go to a new church, its nice to have someone with you!

lotterylover (4816) | 3 years ago | I don't know why but I can go to new churches by myself but I prefer someone with me. Actually, I like someone to go with me where ever I go. My wife got a lot of Keratoses taken off her face and I can't pry her out of the house until she is able to cover the spots with make-up. She is afraid people will think she has aides.

4. Springlady (2039) | 3 years ago | I have no problem at all going to church by myself.
I do go with my family most of the time. I am the only one in my family that sings in the choir, so I am up there without them.
I just love to praise God!

lotterylover (4816) | 3 years ago | MY wife likes to sing in a choir also as she is an alto and can't sing very well by herself unless she lowers the key to sing in. She prefers not having some one play for her unless they can transpose the song to a lower key so she mostly sings without help when in the lower classes. The cradle roll is especially high for her.

5. TravisE (312) | 3 years ago | There is no need to have anyone to go to church with. Chances are there are folks there already, and if not, it's not like you are ever alone in the house of the Lord.

| 6. grasshopping (63) | 3 years ago | i really don't go to church by myself. i really don't feel comfortable alone. i really feel it weird going to church alone. i feel that i need to have someone beside me or a friend to be with me on a chruch. i am not really that extrovert and outgoing person. so i need to be always has someone with me. if i can't really find someone to go with me, i will just skip church attendance. i really don't have friends on my chruch so i really have to bring my own friend to make me feel comfortable inside the church. many times i feel that there are lots of snobbish people in the church. in my fellowship i really don't have anyone i could say that i am close with. so that i will just sit in one corner and i can't greet anyone. no one will really greet you. mostly those attendees have their own whoe relatives with them and their friends with them so that they just keep their communications with themselves. it's really not that good place to meet friends and help from the church. you really have to bring your own sets of friends if you really want to be comfortable inside the church. sometimes i really want to attend myself but sometimes they will give you some look when you alone always. they will think thay you are kind of loner. it was really uncomfortable being that kind of church. i will just want to avoid being in a church if i feel they will just judge me. hopefully i will find a good church where the people will not talk about me or even judge me. there are so many fights within our fellowship between leaders and some members. i really don't feel that they are really havnig that christian spirits. i really endure fighting and gossiping. i hate it when those people i see are gossipers. i really have to stay away from them. i don't want to be a victim of their gossips and their mistreatments. i can still worship God at home. i can still pray at home. i am still comfortable being at home. i really don't feel that our faith is really dependent on our Christian brothers and sisters specially if they are not really acting as real christians.

lotterylover (4816) | 3 years ago | I am a quiet one that will sit myself but I like a family member with me. If I talk to anyone it is because they came up to me first. My wife is just the opposite. She will look out for anyone she see alone and will talk to them. She especially looks for visitors. It might be harder to do that when you go to a big church. Try looking for a small church where everyone knows each other. Don't expect it to be perfect either but at least some one will acknowledge that you are there.

| 7. estergamad (9) | 3 years ago | Each person has his own spirituallity. Being alone or with someone is not a question in going to church. For me I love to be going to church with my husband & my children. When you are inside the church even if your family accompany you, you have to talk to the Lord with in yourself. The advantage of being with your family is that you are encouraging your family to be spiritually filled. Having an aura with religiosity, we encounter lesser problems or if there are problems it is very easy to mend or solve. I also goes to church even without them because there are times when our schedules do not fit each other, therefore we have to go on our own depending upon the time schedules we have.

lotterylover (4816) | 3 years ago | It is said that the family that prays together stays together. I think that goes for church going if it is in the right spirit. I have read stories where that wasn't true but in most cases I think it is a big help.
