Frosty the Snowman |
|
It's almost time for all the Christmas TV specials. I remember watching them every year as a child and then with my son. Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer were my favorites. I also like to watch Christmas movies like Home Alone and It's a Wonderful Life. Do you like to watch Christmas movies/shows? What are your favorites?

pyewacket (11557) | 3 years ago | All my Christmas movies and specials I've taped over the years, and good thing as I no longer have cable. It used to be TNT. Lifetime and the Family channels practically had marathon runs of all Christmasy movies One of the very first movies I taped when I had my very first VCR back in 1982 was The Night They Saved Christmas which had Jaclyn Smith in it...and it's STILL in great condition too:)
That list is just a small one...I would have to look at all my tapes to see exactly what I have as I must have at least 30 VHS tapes of Christmas things on them with each tape have 6 hours worth of things taped....lOL

OURDEW (2391) | 3 years ago | Wow, you sure do have a lot of Christmas shows. Do you watch them through out the year or only during the Christmas season?
| |
|
|
pyewacket (11557) | 3 years ago | I try to watch as many as I can during the whole month of December. I even like to watch them a few days after Christmas to keep the Christmasy feeling a little longer. I'm like a kid. A kid look forward to Christmas all year long, and it's kind of a let down the day after, so I just watch more videos..LOL Don't know about this Christmas though, my VCR unfortunately is a bit on the fritz and doesn't playback very well....:(

3. AmbiePam (15211) | 3 years ago | Well 'White Christmas' with Bing Crosby is a must. And my mom and I both like to watch 'A Charlie Brown's Christmas' when it comes on TV each year. It makes us kind of think about how we wished the world had the same sentiments of the cartoon! LOL
But my most favorite is 'A Smoky Mountain's Christmas.' It's such a corny movie but I love it. Dolly Parton plays a singer who goes away to live in a log cabin to rest, and finds a bunch of runaway orphans hiding in the cabin. She takes them in, and meets up with a mountain man (Lee Majors) and they kind of fall for each other. Meanwhile an evil witch in town is plotting to get rid of Dolly Parton's character. Like I said, it is corny, but I love it. Usually it comes on the USA channel.

4. PurpleTeddyBear (3807) | 3 years ago | Hi OURDEW, When I was a kid I would always watch Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and whatever Christmassy cartoon I could find. I can't wait to watch those with my daughter, they are classics and should be passed down to her I think. Luv & Hugzz, Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear.

6. sacmom (5779) | 3 years ago | My favorites have got to be Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. When I was little I couldn't wait for Rudolph to come on, but now that I'm older I enjoy the Charlie Brown one more. Though all three are cute in their own way.:)
