Do You Still Buy Yourself Gumballs Out Of The Machine?  

I buy them every once in awhile, no I don't do it in secrete, I can care less what people think, sometimes when me and my boyfriend go to our local mall there is a gum ball machine with extra large ones and we split it between us. I don't give my kids any because they are still to young to chew gum, I like all the colors except orange and yellow.

I do it, I sometimes have even stood there, and spent many a quarter to get the right colour, that depending on my mood.My kid is 16, but if she were with me I'd give her her own quarter allowance for right colour mood exactingness thing.So that's not a wod. So what.LOL.

Oh, you have opened a can of worms here. When I was a poor kid out in the country there was a time when the "fam" got prosperous enough to stop doing the laundry by hand, passing the clothes from bucket to bucket and replacing what we now know as a spin cycle with a trip through the hand wringer. The laundromat was still a newfangled thing, but when one came to a neighboring town we gathered together all our nickels and dimes and all piled into the family car together with a few baskets of dirty laundry and went to try it out. That is when I saw my first gumball machine, but we didn't have money to throw away on that sort of thing. I would watch it though and see other kids, kids with their own coins, go so casually up and put the money in and I'd watch them get their gum balls out and often kids would drop them and I'd watch them rolling around on the floor and I'd think if I only had money to put in that machine and could get a gumball out I'd never ever drop it. I would like treasure it so much! So one of the first adult toys I ever bought after growing up and having a job of my own and a place to put it was one of those cute little toy gumball machine replicas with its own supply of tiny gumballs. And you know what? It is like that Emily Dickinson poem about hunger, once I could have all the gumballs I wanted I realized that I don't even like them one bit. If somebody had just ponied up a penny and bought me one god-knows-how-many-years ago, my childhood might have been a little less warped. I dunno. this discussion's very interesting for me... for the reason that i never tried buying gumballs through a machine ever in my entire life. i admit i am interested in doing so, maybe one day. but i feel shy doing so. but for sure, i will do it one day.

I do buy gumballs out of gumball machines, CurlyRed. I won't even wait for people to pass by so that I can buy them in secret. I always hope for the red colour. I don't really know what flavour it's supposed to be.

I do like green M & M's, though.

I buy my gumballs from the machine, and don't pretend they're for my kid, who is too young for them anyway. I buy them proudly. I really love those gumball machines that have really long chutes for the gumballs to come down, and I'll sometimes buy several just so I can watch them come down the chute.

I don't care what color I get. I like them all. :)

You big kid you! lol. I have a confession to make, I like going on merry go rounds! lol. I would get gumballs, if I could remember it when I'm out! lol. I love my lollies, and why should they just be for the kids! They get theirs, and I get mine!

my son use to buy gumballs , when i was a kid yeah i love buying them and make fun of it,,i like the red one and scare my brother.

love those gumball machines, when it comes to candy i am like a kid at the candy store i don't wait for the people to pass me with the gumball machine,i just hop along to the machine and i watch the gum ball go down the chute and while its going down i am like a kid saying ooh ooh i want the red one please,then when i get a different color than the red one i give it to whoever is with me and i keep trying til i get that darn red one.lol i like the other colors but i just want the red one.because i don't want to walk around with a blue or purple mouth either lol.pattie

I don't buy them often but I do buy them from time to time. I don't have kids and I wouldn't pretend they are for my kids anyway. I am not ashamed of standing in front of the machine, right in front of everyone. I especially like the ones where you can watch the gumball spiral down the tube into the slot. I don't know why, it is just fun. I always like getting the blue ones because they're my favorite color but since I can't pick, I take whatever I get unless I am with someone who wants what I get then I give it to them and go for another one.
