New Orleans, Louisiana

The last time I was in New Orleans was a few months before Katrina hit. My husband and I and a few of his guys from his unit spent a few days there before he left for Afghanistan. I really enjoyed just walking around and enjoying the sights. I liked the jazz cafe's and the walking tours. I think my favorite places would have to be the Cafe Du Monde and Jackson Square at night. Just seems like there is so much life there during the evening. You can people watch for hours while enjoying your coffee and good conversation.

My favorite things to do in New Orleans are going to the French Quarter, and take a walk along the River. I also like to go to Cafe Dumond to have coffee and beignet. It is a very diverse city, with lots of things to see, and places to go..Watching artists on the street is also fun, and listening to music is the best.
I just love the cultural, and historical sites in New Orleans.

Like the person said I was in New Orleans a few months before Katrina hit. That was only the second time I had been there.
It was only the second time I had been there. The first time was in 1979 or 80. I was on a college trip and was only there for a few hours. We spent the whole time on Bourbon Street.
A few years ago when I went I was with my family. We went to the French Quarter and ate beignets and went to Ripley's museum and toured the French Quarter in a carridge. It was alot of fun.
