Can you let Gossip roll off of your back?  

If they are gossiping about me I just let it go. If they have nothing better to do than gossip about me they have a sad life! Gossip so many times gets spread into different stories and when the last person hears it the story is completely different and has no truth to it. That is why I stay away from gossip as much as possibl.e

In the past I would let it get to me. I would take it very personally and then a war would start with me and that person but nowadays I just shrug it off. Talk $hit if ya want to but it's no sweat off my back. Now if it's people running my business around town then I will get pissed about that.

I wish I could believe that but i am not sure we are being honest with ourseleves It takes a remarkable person to say they couldnot care at all if some one says bad things or gossip about them.I know we say that but i do not believe it is the truth and maybe we donot even know that but trust me down deep things may be resting of a time bomb. I'm not sure that ever happened to me, but if it did, I might let them know I heard them, especially if what they said was hurtful. I would be nice, but I would kind of clear my throat and let them know I heard them and say... "I heard that" and wait for their come back. Then I might say something like.. "well, if you are talking about me, you are leaving someone else alone..so have at it."

Not always, sometimes, I will comfront people and set the record straight, other times, I will just be me and to heck with what others say about me.

Awesome song! Of course I love Montgomery Gentry and especially this song. Most of the time I can let this stuff roll off my back but there have been times and it's usually here on mylot when someone says something that hits me the wrong way and sets me off. It never happens to me in real life though...hmmmm curious huh?

It depends on who is saying it and what they say. I don't care much about what strangers think. But if one of my parents says something, that really stings, and I have a hard time getting over it. I guess if I care about a person, and think highly of them, their opinion matters to me.

The one exception to this is when someone makes a comment about my parenting abilities- or even just a disapproving look. I get very hurt by this because I think I am a good mother, and I try really hard. I have never worked harder at anything.

With me, it really depends on who is saying what. I mean if Im really trust worthy of this person and Im close with them, then yes it will hurt, and hurt deeply.

If its someone that really doesnt know me, I just chalk it up to jealousy or something silly and let it go. I mean it might still bother me a bit, but Im not going to get too upset about it.

I try my best to not let it borrow me, but the moment i have some thinking time to myself. BAM. all of it constantly runs through my mind over and over. I've always have had a little bit of an anxiety problem, and this is defiantly where i have most of my problems. High School was hell for me lol

i try not to let gossip about me affect me, but sometimes it's just hard for me. unfortunately i do care what most people think about me most of the time and so if there's gossip going around about me i'm affected by it.
