how do you decorate your tree?

I decorate my tree pretty plain. I put one set of colored lights (usually red or white) and then put some classic looking multiple color bulbs on it. I hate tacky and over cluddery trees. lol

My tree has the different ornaments my kids made or choose through the years..A friend that traveled would send me ornaments from different countries..she sent a beautiful little hand crotchet panda that she bought in China on the year of the panda...Then I have some that family have sent me, I have a very old angel that my granmama hung on her tree every year..she had it from childhood..some of the ones I helped hang on out tree each year as a child...My tree wouldn't win an award but I love it and wouldn't trade my ornaments for the most expensive ones in the world..

I have a white tree with no needles and lots of white lights, and I like to do a theme. This year it will be paper origami birds.
We always used everything we had when the kids were here, and I do that about every 5-6 years and have the tree at full height. I will remove a section this year and set it up on a coffee table... its less work, and just as effective!
