What's your plan for Black Friday

Some people here in America will go to the stores at midnight just to get a good deal...and yes, some stores do open at midnight. Isn't that crazy? I, myself, would get up at 4 AM to go shopping, but unfortunately I am rather broke this year. It is a crazy time. Some people are down right mean and will fight you for something. It's crazy. It's like having a bunch of vultures on a dead animal. It is quite a sight to see!

I will go out to visit my friend at the nursing home and stay way away from Walmart which is our only big store..
I don't really do that kid of shopping for my family..
I do most online and make alot of them also..

Here, the pressure is always on to be 'first'! Most people don't know that
they can order the same things for the same prices online! I only did this
once, and almost got hurt. It's not worth it to me, just to possibly save a
few dollars!

I'm not that much of an early bird and even if I was I'm working this morning. Not to mention I forgot to put money aside for today so as usual I'm broke!!

I think that the reason that some people want to shop that early is because they fear some of the popular items will all be sold out. As for my self there is nothing I want badly enough to fight the crowds for. So i don't ever go shopping on black friday. A friend of mine's mother live in NewYork near the canadian boarder and she said that some time ago when the American currancy was stronger then the canadian currancy the it took minuates to cross the boarder and now it takes up to 5 hours. It would not be worth the time to me. I hate crowds any way.

I went shopping on Friday, I left the house around 10 am. Some people want to get the good bargains, I still found all the bargains I wanted. I was still sleeping that early. My 2 yr. old grandson came in my room, tapped me on the arm and said "gramma I'm ready to go".

I thought it would be too cold in Canada to get up early (according to a friend of mine who lived there). Here in New Zealand, only those who start their flea markets get up early for the early shoppers so they get bargains before they sell out. Or if a new significant global product is on sale - e.g. windows 98 attracted 100's of early morning shoppers...

My plan is to get up like I always do get ready get my sons off to school and head to work, but I might have to leave a little earlier so I don't get stuck in the shopping traffic.
