do you put up more than one christmas tree? do you have an odd or unusual tree?

I put up one tree...a fake tree that is pre-lit. But, it is a nice tree, so it almost looks real! I also have ornaments from my childhood, so I put those, along with other ones I've acquired along the way. I do not like clutter or gawdy things, so I like to keep it simple, yet pretty for Christmas. I used to have what we called a Charlie Brown tree because it was small. I'm a Snoopy fan, so I put Peanuts ornaments on it. I had to get rid of it, though because it rusted, I think.

Decorating a christmas tree is a joy but one only, I think more than one would be a chore and then the part that I hate is when to have to pack it away, I don't even bother anymore, I think along with age one gets over the christmas tree thing, I just have a little table tree I bring outand put a few santa things around the house to give a bit of atmosphere...

I only put up one..I am not so sure I will this year because my daughter and my son both have little ones so the excitement has been passed to their homes..leaving their new presents is too much like torture for small ones so we go to their homes....We will get together Christmas Eve at my daughters house when I will give everyone my giftes and the families all give their gifts and we open them together..Christmas morning is for each family ...That's when they open their Santa gifts and gifts from their parents and siblings...It helps the family to bond closer sharing this each year with just their immediate family.
New Years we have dinner all together at which ever home we decide..

I decorate every year with a theme. Last year I really wanted a Black and white tree but I couldn't find decorations, go figure that walmart has some this year. whatever!

I also really wanted to do a home-made theme this year, but I just don't know if I'll have the money to go out buy stuff to make OR the time to actually make stuff. Who knows what I'll do. I'll have to come up with something.

For many years I used to put up a traditional Christmas Tree. The kids loved it, we loved it and it was fine:)
But for the past 4 or 5 years we haven't been able to do so for lack of space. So we came up with an idea that has become a new tradition for us.
Each year we paint a Christmas tree in our living room door. Then each one of us paints decorations on it.
When Christmas is over we repaint the door white again.
This way we can still have a tree despite the lack of space and it still looks nice. Last year my daughter got some neon stars that we glued on the door and even when the lights were off we could see them shining, it was really cute:)

I donn't have an unual tree, but I think I've got unusual decoration.Small jointed Teddy Bears, that's riight real Teddys with loops on there heads,I 've even got a Teddy on top of the tree.And some teddy bear shaped decoration as well as the usual balls.

Last year we bought a new Christmas tree because our old one wasn't looking all that great. We even bought lots of new ornaments. We did that because we thought my grandparents were coming for a visit, but they never did lol. That's alright because I picked it out=D. It's one of those pre-lit white trees. I love the white trees and I plan on buying my own white tree when I get to finally have my own place!

Good timing to ask that, as every year before this one, we only ever had one tree. But yesterday while down the shops, my nearly five year old son spotted an old second hand tree selling for two dollars so my wife bought it for his bedroom. So yesterday arvo was spent making decorations for my son's tree. He had an absolute ball making and decorating.
Also, before I was married, my christmas tree looked like a remnant from the dark ages. It was an old wire tree with green plastic 'leaves', but most of the leaves had fallen off years ago. My wife made me get rid of it and buy a new one. I can't understand why.....LOL!

I have upside-down tomato cages over big pots, and ivy climbing into a tree shape, on the porch. They look great all year 'round, but even better with a string of tiny lights!
Our Christmas tree is white, artificial, has no needles, is LOADED with white lights, and can be anywhere from two to eight feet tall. Its great to decorate with a different theme every year!
There is also a two-foot tree in our guest bathroom every year!
