What is your favorite Christmas movie?   

my favorite christmas movie would have to be a christmas story. it's definitely a classic. we would watch it almost every year in at least one of my classes in school from 6th grade all the way up until i graduated high school. it's just a great movie all around. i love when tbs plays the 24hour marathon of it on christmas day too.

We watched the black an white classic of Miracle on 34th street on Thanksgiving day.

But I think one of my favorite holiday movies is
Christmas with the Kranks

It is a humorous comedy and very close to the book, and the things that are different made the movie better.

But I'm not into a lot of the animated anymore.

But if you want me to pick a favorite animated...Peanuts Christmas....by far.

Squirrel! I love Nation Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.I see it every year, I know what is to happen and I still laugh.do you have it on DVD or video? I do. Classic.

I have two favorite Christmas movies.The first one isn't really a Christmas movie, it is Miracle Of The Bells. It is played around Christmastime but it is more of a film about hope. And my second is A Christmas Carol, the 1938 version.A classic.

Yeah, I like Christmas Vacation too. There are many of this type of movie I have never seen.

It just isn't Christmas without A Christmas Story. So that's my all time favorite. But some other ones are Scrooged, Elf, A Charlie Brown Christmas, It's a Wonderful life (though technically the movie only takes place at christmas time, it's really NOT a christmas movie), and all those christmas classics like Rudolph and Frosty and the year without a santa claus.

I guess my favorite Christmas movie again is It's a Wonderful Life. It had fallen off the top pot because there was a period where it played about 30 times between Thansgiving and Christmas, but the last couple of years, it hasn't been on much (even during non-Christmas seasons)so I enjoy it when it is on. Other than that, it would be almost all the variations of a Christmas Carol out there. Both stories are sad until the end, which there is a happy joyful ending, which people help those who are either less fortunate or in trouble. Other than that, and I don't know whether this qualifies as a Christmas movie, or a Halloween movie, but I really enjoy Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas.

Funny you should mention that movie, I just watched it yesterday. I love the classic Miracle on 34th St and the newer Christmas with the Kranks. That movie has some real funny spots in it and is probably the last movie you will see Tom Poston in.

That movie is also one of my favorites, ORyans, but it doesn't top my list. That honor would go to Home Alone(original). That movie has some of everything in it. I thought it was amazing that such a little boy could manage so well on his own. And, the way he outsmarted those burglars was nothing short of genius. Even the kindly old neighbor who frightened him so much in the beginning rallied to his defense in the end. That movie is one of the best!

I think it was called The santa clause. It started out with an old couple delivering toys to a villiage. then on the way home they get caught in a snow storm on their sleigh. when they wake up they are getting surrounded by elves. so the guy becomes santa clause. there was a little red headed girl who befriends a homeless boy too. I love christmas vacation! I agree, I could watch it over and over.

My personal christmas tradition is to watch White Christmas every year. Well I think I have missed a few years here and there. I have watched this movie sense I was a little girl I am now 48. I prefer not to bore my family with it as I know they really don't like it; so one night during the christmas week I stay up late, curly up on the couch with my nice warm quilt and a cup of tea. All the lights of except a few christmas ones and watch this lovely little movie. It is my special treat that I savor for a moment of peace and quite in that busy christmas week.
