Hi wolfie34! I was as curious as you are about the number eight decades ago. Those who knew something about it, one said, it is because when you write the number 8 in the regular way, in a single stroke, you always end at the top. With the exception of the number 5, it also ends at the top but flat. Usually the number 8 ends with a stroke pointing upwards. dear wolfie...me TOO!!! i heard on the radio on a late night talk show called COAST TO COAST which is an international talk show around the beginning of this summer to carry the number 8 around in your pocket to get wealth to come into your life...i cut out a number 8 from a magazine and taped it on my license, as my driver's license is something i always carry around...well..it takes several months, but guess what..i went from a 95 chevy car to a honda accord, from a noika cellphone to a pink motorola razr cellphone, from just having a pc computer to know owning for free a laptop also...try it and see what happens and let me know...i would say it works, and i don't know the origin of the number 8 either, but try this and put the number 8 in your pocket and carry it everywhere...it WORKED for ME....stanzi
