Have you killed... someone.. accidentally before?? |
Ok. Don't fret. I'm not a policewoman trying to catch a murderer here. LOL 'Someone' can refer to a human being (I hope not to see this as your response), an insect, an animal.. etc. Personally, I had only killed ants by accident before. I do not enjoy killing unlike some friends of mine who enjoy killing insects and pests like cockroaches. I am very scared of cockroaches. I usually shout or scream for someone else to kill them on my behalf. I have a friend who has accidentally killed a bird while trying to feed it with water. She was trying to be kind. The bird looked thirsty and she wanted to give it some water. However, the intention is right but the execution is wrong. She actually tried to feed the bird by putting the bird's beak (almost the whole head) directly under the running tap. I bet you can guess the ending. The bird drowned. That's so sad.

1. Pose123 (5826) | 3 years ago | Hi poohgal, I'm like you in that I don't like killing, but I will kill an insect. I don't believe it makes me better than others, it just the way I am. Blessings.

poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | Even though I do not kill, I am responsible for the lives of those cockroaches I've asked my parents and friends to kill on my behalf.=p Thanks for your response. Blessings to you.

2. foxyfire33 (5796) | 3 years ago | I have killed quite a few animals accidentally with vehicles...woodchucks, skunks, rabbits, squirrels, frogs, field mice, birds, a turkey, several deer and one cat. I almost (and by almost I mean inches) hit a very large and unfriendly looking bear. Oh and then there were all the fish I've attempted to have as pets...far to many to count.

poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | Wow. You have killed quite a number of animals... I am just wondering.. do you have pets now?=P

4. _hope_ (1879) | 3 years ago | Poohgal i suppose i have killed many ants and bugs in my life so far and i hate to admit it but it was intentional .Thats as far as it goes i can`t kill anything and even in the wildlife rescue service i`m an active member i shed a few tears even when i loose one and the hardest thing for me is that i have to made a dreaded decision to have an animal put down and in those cases it`s actually for the well being of the animal concerned. I often hear about how some one has accidently died as a result of another persons actions .This would of course have a large amount of guilt on the other person concerned i know if it were me i would be devistated to say the least .However looking at it at another angle things like this does happen for a reason and sometimes we cant see it that way we are all given challanges in our life to test us and no greater grief is to loose a life wether it be one close to us or a mere stranger we feel it so bad because it is instilled into to us through a blueprint (inheretited )that all life is precious and everyone deserves a chance. We therfore feel an overwhelming sence of guilt if a life is lost as a result of ourself .

poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | If I have the guts to kill the pests and bugs, I would too. Too bad, I do not have so I have to seek help from others. LOL As for other animals, I do not bear to kill them. I believe animals have emotions and feelings just like human beings. They feel pain, sadness and joy just like we do. And yes indeed. I agree with you. Life is precious. Being at the top of the food chain, I can understand why Man kill animals for food. However, I still do not understand why Man kill each other. Are things like power and wealth more important than a Human Life?

_hope_ (1879) | 3 years ago | I can`t for the life of me understand why anyone would or even could kill another person .But from the beginning of time this has gone on .All life is precious and should be cared for no matter what the circumstances .I evcountered one event in my life that still to this day i can not understand as to why parents of a new baby wouldlet it die just because it had a couple of imferfections none of us are perfect and to let their baby just lie there for days slowly dying was just so unforgivable in my books .That event occourred over thirty years ago and to this day i think of that innocent baby that was not even given a chance of living and i often wonder what those parents are feeling about their baby.
| |
poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | OMG. That's so cruel! How can anyone bear to see a baby cry to death? That's such a heart wrenching scene. I know for sure God is taking good care of the baby in Heaven now.

5. earncommunity (710) | 3 years ago | yes i'm also a killer! I remember killing mosquitoes, ants, centipedes, and other insects. Even though i have not killed rabbits mine and my friends carelessness led to the death of our rabbits! We got careless and left the cage open and at night dogs took them away! Apart from all these i don't remember killing any living creatures. Yeah..one more instance, i remember killing a lizard when the poor guy was caught inside the door hinges and i closed the door, i only realised when i heard its bone crushing sound, i didnt bother to stop becuase the poor guy could not be saved from that point so i went on closing the door, that was again an accident! If i'm right i've also ran my car over a snake, but i did not bother to check its medical condition, probably its now living as 2 snakes;-)

poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | I feel so sad for the rabbits. Do your friends feel guilty? The way the lizard is killed sounds very gruesome. I can imagine the lizard being snapped into half. Likewise for the snake. Thank goodness I was not there to witness it.=)

earncommunity (710) | 3 years ago | yes defintely feeling guilty about the rabbit episode... our carelessness lead to its death! btw the lizard didnt snap into 2 ... it got flattened!

| 6. PieIsAwesome (7) | 3 years ago | I have probably killed countless insects, not for fun but because they were being pests. Its usually ants, which with poison die by the hundreds. They went after the fridge once, and managed to get in the freezer compartment, and after a while there was a nice big pile of dead ants at the bottom. Beyond that...I guess I may have been responsible for the death of some fish, not keeping the aquarium in a suitable state for them to survivie. Otherwise I have several pets and try to keep them alive....together they're quite an investment, heh.

8. kun2349 (7333) | 3 years ago | haha.. is ur friend trying to sober up a drunken person or a person who's under the influence of drugs?? hehe.. killing of pest or insects accidentally is very normal for me.. but if i can avoid, then i will avoid:) i have tried and caught snakes, wild boar, iguanas, centipede, toad, spiders, and all survived.. After catching them to examine, den i will let them go:)
| |
| |
poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | Wah. You mean there are wild boar in Singapore? Where? Pulau tekong ah? or Pulau Ubin? I have never seen a wild boar before and would not like to see it. Why were you examining the snakes, wild boar, iguanas, centipede, toad, spiders and etc? Haha..
| |
kun2349 (7333) | 3 years ago | wild boar at pulau tekong and tenggah also have.. hehe.. catching snakes because the color is nice.. iguana is to see how they can really change skin color according to the surroundings.. Spider is because it's really big and poisonous.. Centipede is because it's hard to catch.. Toad is to see how poisonous they are and how they store the poison inside them.. hehe
| |
poohgal (2953) | 3 years ago | Hmmm.... so what you have found out from all your research on toads, spiders, snakes and iguanas? You actions are very dangerous.
| |
kun2349 (7333) | 3 years ago | haha.. i always do take safety precaution when catching all these animals de.. centipede is hard to catch because it's fast and the tail can sting, so we lay a trap for it to come into our tank:) for toad, when they feel threatened, they will bloat up and become swollen till twice of their normal size especially at the neck there.. After which, they will spit out some bluish black stuff out:) hehe

9. bishu_sinha (1068) | 3 years ago | Very interesting. We should not kill or destroy any live body. But ufortunately, by accidently, or protect myself from some deases, I have killed so many Mosquitoo, Cockroch and small insects. I am sorry for that. Nature created by GOD and final justice will come from H'im only. Please perdone me GOD.
