oh i love this song by Don Williams, i have my computer speakers cranked, and i feel like getting up doing a slow dance by myself. lol.
Don Williams (born May 27, 1939 in Floydada, Texas), is a country singer and songwriter. He grew up in Portland, TX and attended Gregory-Portland High School and graduated in 1958. After seven years with the folk-pop group Pozo Seco Singers, he began his solo career in 1971, singing popular ballads and amassing 17 number one hits.
His straightforward vocals, soft tones, and an imposing build earned him the nickname "The Gentle Giant" of country music.

| |  I've always loved Don Williams.WHen i was growing up in the mid-80s,my mother listened to his music all of the time.especially at nights like after 8pm.She would sit down by the sterio and put his record on and listen to it for hours.Soon after,i would get to liking his music.I enjoyed all of his music and songs.And especially Amanda.
He is such a wonderful singer and songwriter.
