 Christmas shopping? Or have you not even started like me. I always wait until the last minute. Somehow to me it is more fun that way.
Now I am not saying that I wait until the night before Christmas, but a week or two before suits me just fine. Do you have a deadline for Christmas shopping? I mean, do you have a point where you say, if I have not purchased it by now, I am not going back out there to get it? I am finished for this year.

| 3. giftsandbagscom (12032) | 3 years ago |  This is the worst year ever for me. I start shopping in August and be done by November. I moved from Miami to NY this July. The truck was 1600. then having to go school shopping. $400+ then having to pay for food and transportation oh so much. Turning on the everything. Getting all the stuff I left like dishes etc. I was broke and now it's Christmas time. I am not going to be feeling my best.

Give them little cards of things that you are willing to do for them as a Christmas gift. For example, help cook Christmas dinner, clean the house, baby sit, or something real simple like that. | |

I mean year after year people buy more stuff but i still belive in small presents for the people I care for. For me x-mas present shouldn't cost more then 20$ and one is enough.

I usually wait until the last couple of weeks to start shopping but last year that got me into a bind. I decided to start early so i could spread my finances out instead of spending a big chunk of money all at once. If i happened to have forgotten something i will definitely go back out there and get it. I'm not scared or bothered by the christmas crowd...it just makes it more of a challenge. We haven't started on Madison's presents yet but he may have to wait until his father gets back from Thailand in three weeks. He leaves on Monday. He has told us a few things he wants but that will depend on our budget LOL

I have to tell them I can't work weekends for two weeks, not sure how they are going to take that but I have no choice. Just as well this job is only temporary and if they need me to work then I will just have to excuse myself from the job. They are quite flexible though and am sure they won't mind me missing two weekends as i worked last weekend and will be working this weekend also. So we shall see. | |

| 9. kitten1954 (1120) | 3 years ago |  Have only bought two things so far, but we are not really into buying gifts, we have a get together for a meal and spend time with each other usually but this year will be a bit different, some of the family are away, some working, some have other commitments, but we will get together one way or the other, it may even be just a phone call from our son who lives in Spain but it is contact that matters to us.
