Which do you prefer, real or artificial Christmas tree? |
|
It's already December and I am sure everyone has already put up there Christmas tree. Well, I am just curious here... Which Christmas tree would you prefer or do you have in the house, real or artificial? Why did you choose it?
For us, we have an artificial Christmas tree in the house. I told hubby that if I am given the chance to choose I would prefer a real tree but he said he doesn't like it because when the needles fall it will make the carpet and rug messy and he doesn't like to water it everyday.
How about you guys...

3. jovimom (523) | 3 years ago | We've always had an artificial tree ever since I was a kid. Though, my mom blew a fuse one year and never put a tree up again! She even threw all the ornaments away! To this day, she does not put up a christmas tree. We have a pre-lit tree(clear lights) and it's a 9 foot. We have vaulted ceilings in our living room, so it works out good.

MarieJ23 (484) | 3 years ago | wow! 9 ft is very tall... I love tall Christmas tree..ours is not pre-lit but it's also around 6 ft tall... oh, i understand why your mom threw all those stuff... In my home country (Philippines), there are a lot of fire that are Christmas tree or lights related cases....

4. williamjisir (13052) | 3 years ago | Hello I think that your hubby is right. When a real Christmas tree is placed inside the house, then it will be difficult to sweep the messy needles fallen on the carpet floor. So I would also prefer an artificial one. Thanks.

5. crazy_ol_lady (626) | 3 years ago | Hi marie, I prefer to have a real tree. I've usually had a real tree at Christmas. Lately I have only put up a small artificial tree. It is only my husband and I so we don't do too much for Christmas except Christmas morning. We have a Christmas breakfast for our grown children and their children. The men cook and the women do the clean up.
Anyway I would still prefer a real tree. It just smells better and seems more Christmas-sy. Maybe I will get my wish this year and put up a real tree.
Happy posting..

MarieJ23 (484) | 3 years ago | We watched the movie This Christmas and the activities that you usually do on Christmas morning remind me of what I saw there. Men and women have different assigned tasks...that's cute...anyway, we have the same concept on real Christmas tree... I also feel it's more real to have a real tree.... I hope your wish will be granted this year and mine next year...hehehe...Have a great day!

6. kwenge (1350) | 3 years ago | When we were living with my parents, my late father always insisted on live christmas trees and live flowers, we could put some paper under it so that when the needles fall they can be removed. But now in my house i have artificial because i can keep it somewhere for another christmas compared to the live/real one tha dries up with time and it is expensive. Thanks Marie for your discussio. Where have you been?

8. statickery560 (210) | 3 years ago | As for me i prefer to use real tree but i have to choose the one for indoor ornamental plants so that even when it has only a little sunlight, i could stand inside the house. And beside i dont use too much decks just christmas rice lights, then it's just fine.

| 9. cyberpunk (50) | 3 years ago | I prefer an artificial tree, so that I can use it again and again.
It's less messy too, since the needles don't fall out and I don't have to dispose of it afterwards. Then there's the environmental aspect of not cutting down a tree;)
