If you could turn back the hands of time...

i've always kind of wanted to go back to the early 1900s. to see how things were and all. i think it would be quite interesting to see how things were at that turn of the century compared to the past turn of the century.

I wish that I could have a time machine. This would be able to skip back to nay time in the past. First off all it would go back to 1989 to exciting college days. I would also revisit lovely adventures I have had traveling like 1991 going to st Lucia in the Caribbean, 1993 and 1994 going around the world. 2001 and 2002 going to New Zealand and some of the South Pacific Islands. 2006 would be good as I went to Belize. Most of all I would like to replay some parts of fantastic 2005. Oh, by the way Rainbow is a lovely name, so colorful hey.

I like this time best, because I already had a chance to be a hippie, but there were no laptop computers back then. Dunno if I'd agree that those days were simple, but technology was starting to emerge then, so they were exciting times, If I absolutely had to go back, then probably the late 60's would be as early as I'd want to go. It would be no fun at all to return to a time when most people didn't have dishwashers or convection ovens or compact cars and when women were pretty much excluded from any kind of respectable employment.

for me it has to the 40s,i want to be a part of all those stories my gran told me as a child,i want to spend old money,i want to ride a bike not drive a car,i want to be in the old movies,i simply want to be a part of something that i never really was,only in a story.

I would want to back to 1900 to see how things were slowing developing. You know in the begining electricty was created. I don't know the date of that but thats just a example. I would love to see those New Inventions back then that are old today. Life was really different back then and I would want to know what made it different. What was the crime rate in that era? what about taxes. I am in alaska, so i would stay in alaska for this era. hows the weather different then today. I know it would extremely different since we're going through global warming. sometimes I wonder how long will this global warming last.

I would go back see Cleopatra and come back

I should like to experience the 1100s or perhaps the early 1800s but I believe God put me in the time and place that I would be most likely able to save my soul - so I must not fret about living in such times as we do. I kind of think these are pivotal times in the history of the world, anyhow.

I'd probably just go back to my late teen years. I was very close to my grandmother. She passed away by the time I was 21. I'd tell her I love her during the time we did spend together, alot more. Feels like I didn't say that enough now. Other than that I'd stay where I am.

heheh... mine will be to not fostered a frienship with the one who ultimately brought the most painful betrayal i experienced...

Princess, I live with a disabling condition I met in a road accident over 10 years ago. I realise how challenging my mobility is now and sometimes i compare my time now with the situation before this accident, I also see the opportunities I have missed because of my condition now and i cant help looking back with wishful thoughts about having back my mobility-these makes me want to turn back the time over 10 years backwards!
