No more "Merry Christmas"  |

 Well it looks like they have finally done it!
First they take away Prayer in school then there
was a big whoop-to-do about saying the pledge of
allegiance now they say "NO MORE MERRY CHRISTMAS"
when referring to the Christmas holidays.
Teachers can only say "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings"
I have also noticed that most of the commercials
on TV have changed to these too. I wonder what will come
up next? Do you still say Merry Christmas?

I wake up my significant other with a cup of coffee and whispering Merry Christmas in his ear on Christmas Morning. I'm so sick of politically correct, helloooo, where did that come from anyway, why should we be politically correct when politicians are sooooooooo far from being correct about anything. Oh and should it offend someone I say it to......so sue me!! get over it, and as Grandma said, put on your big boy/girl panties and grow the h*ll up.

This is one of the reasons that I hate public schools, they are so worried about offending people of different religions that they take the fun out of the holidays.
I feel truly saddened by the way that public education is going.

| 4. twoey68 (9728) | 3 years ago |  Our Walmart did this a while back, b/c some ppl complained about the word Christ being used in Christmas. I made a pain of myself by purposely telling every Walmart worker I ran into MERRY CHRISTMAS!! They are back to using Merry Christmas.
My suggestion would be to encourage your children to tell their teachers, classmates and anyone else they come into contact with Merry Christmas.

People have just gotten so used to having gadgets and things that don't use any thought, imagination, creativity, or any kind of thought process that their minds tend to go stale and at some point in time their minds just roll over in their graves and since they have nothing intelligent to think about, they create this stupidity and cause a huge ruckus. Problem is that the media craves this kind of person so all us normal people have to pay the price of their stupidity.
Can you imagen what these people could be capable of doing, if they put their minds and intelligence to work on something .... intelligent!?!?!

| 9. suspenseful (17152) | 3 years ago |  I was very nervous about the pledge of allegiance because I thought you pledged loyalty to God at first, but I was upset about the prayer taking out of schools to placate the atheists, but not to be allowed to say Merry Christmas also to placate the atheists (how would they feel if we did not give them any presents?) I still say Merry Christmas.
By the way since our holidays used to be in July, why did not anyone wish us "Happy Holidays" then? I am trying to suggest something, hope you take the hint.

At some point in time people will have to realize that this politically, I'm going to offend someone else crap is going to turn on everyone.
And what they don't understand is that by trying to please someone else, the offend another group of people.
Truthfully at some point in time people will realize you can't just please everyone so we just need to stop trying.
