I have had such a hard time sleeping lately. i'm not stressed out or anything of that nature, if anything I'm happier now than I've been in a long time. Does anyone know any natural, home remedies that will help a person sleep? I dont want to take any type of medications because I dont want to get addicted or get sick from it. What do you do that helps you sleep throughout the whole night?

There are certain types to tea that works like a sedative... meaning they calm the nerves and makes you feel really really sleepy... i forgot the name of that particular tea... but it think if you search the web or go to a store that sells a variety of tea... they would be able to give you what you need... i tried it before when i had a hard time sleeping and it really works...

You can try drinking a glass of milk before going to sleep. This is what I drink when I find it hard to sleep. I hope this ca help you.

Thanks so much for the help. unfortunately the thought of drinking a glass of milk grosses me out. I've never really cared for milk that much. i can eat it cereal and in hot chocolate but not alone. I know that its supposed to help a person sleep, I wish i could drink some with out puking :(

I don't know of any good ones myself.
But I'd like to know if there is as well, I seem to have the same problem.
Just having a hard time sleeping in general.
the only thing that seems to work for me is reading something or taking a warm shower before bed.
For some reason it works, lol.

Well I know you can get refreshed with a five second nap...LUCKY!!! Warm baths do help me sleep, my children hardly let me take them in peace though. Lately my showers have consisted of one adult (me) and two children cramped in a bath. I try to maneuver around them but it takes a lot of work haah. Thanks for the reply. Well one of the technique that i use it for myself is breathing exercises. They have helpes me relax and have a good sound sleep.

Hi Smithfamily I often have those nights. I try to do alot of physical work during the day so when its time to go to be Im exahausted. It usually works. Dont drink any caffine after 3:00 in the afternoon. And try to eat alittle snack right before bed. I get into bed and put the tv on and always fall asleep watching something.LOL Good luck and sleep tight.

I use rozerem. It is a prescription sleeping medicine, but I've had no addiction to it. In fact, I don't take it that much. But, when I do take it, I get the best sleep ever! I definitely recommend it. I've also heard that drinking a warm glass of milk will help, too.

I've seen that advertised on tv. How long have you taken it? You had to go to your doctor and tell him what in order to receive it? I just really need some sleep. My undereye circles are darker than night! Bleh I cant drink milk...unless its in cereal or mixed with chocolate mmmm. Thanks for the help. Have a great holiday season and god Bless!!!
