this was the first reveletion given to prophet muhammad (PBUH) when Gabriel came and told him to read in the name of your lord and he replied that i do not know how to read.because prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was illeterate....

inthe HEBREW language 'im' is added for respect similarly 'im' is added after name of Prophet Muhammad which makes it Muhammadim .
Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) mentionad in New Testament(Injeel)(the American standard version):-
1-in John 15:16 " i will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter which will abide with you forever"
2-John 15:26 " .......he shall testify of me"
3-John 16:7 " ...for if i go not away the co forter will not come unto you but if i go i will send him to you "
Muhammad means the one who Praises or the Praised one
which is almost the translation of the Greek word'Periclytos' in the above 3 verse of John the word Comforter is used in English translation for the greek word 'Paracletos' which means a kind of friend. paracletos refers to the Prophet who is mercy for all creatures. which is also mentioined in Quran..
Christian think that this Prophecy refers to the Holly Spirit , but they fail to realize that IF only Jesus(PBUH) will depart the Comforter will come the Bible says that the Holly spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus(PBUH) in the womb of Elizabeth and again whrn Jesus(PBUH)was baptized ,etc.Hence this Prophecy refers to none other than Prophet MUHAMMAD(PBUH)
4-John 16:12-14 " i have yet many things to say unto you but ye cannot bear them now" " Howbiet when he the spirit of truth comes he shall guide you into all the truth but what things he shall hear these shall he speak and he shall declare to you things that are to come " " he shall glorofy me..."

| |  I think that you might reread the Torah and the Christian Testament again before you quote those bits. If I am not mistaken, they are referring to something entirely different than what you think. Sometimes they can get a bit confusing when you don't read the whole chapter. I always read a whole section of the Quaran before I try to decide what it is really saying.

Regarding the scriptures you quoted above I just wish you fellows would stop peddling nonsense; good people do not lie!
Isaiah refers to anyone that is not literate; Mohammad was not the only uneducated person. In Song of Songs it is a woman speaking in present tense about her lover; not a future person married to a child. John 15:16 does not state what you claim. John did not speak about Mohammad v 26; that is supposedly Jesus talking about someone and the person he refers to is "to abide forever" if that was Mohammad he would still be alive.
The rest of your claims are also nonsense and I would like to know how you expect people to respect you when a brief look at your claims shows that you are not telling the truth?
Maybe you think that Mohammad was prophesied in the Bible but that is just something pretended by Muslims to lend credibility to their cult!

| |  Yawn, yawn, the same old Muslim dissemblance using blatantly fictitious interpretations of biblical verses taken out of context to suggest what they were never intended to suggest, all these claims have been adequately refuted. Why then do Muslims persist? Clearly a matter of there own lack of faith and insecurity.
Just as an example of the distortion here John 14.16 17 26 15.26 16.13 14 make it clear that the comforter is a spirit that resides in the disciples, therefore it is clear that the comforter referred to is the Holy Spirit not Muhammad. Furthermore the correct translation of Paracleos is not friend as Muslims suggest but one that is beside (Para means next to). And therefore a better fit with the Holy spirit than Muhammad.

| |  I love to see (read) the passion of people. You are very passionate in what you say and beleive, I do not fault you for that. Although I beleive the bible verses you have quoted have been taken out of context, no fault of yours for you have been tought these things and beleive them with your heart. But there are many things we can agree on though, and we should pay more attention to these similarities. We both can agree there is but one God, We can agree that Jesus was born of a vergin named Mary, or Mariem, We can agree that God calls all of us to be Rightous and Holy. Can we also agree that peace is the way to spread the word of God? Is it allowed in Islam to read the holt bible? I have a copy of the holy quran, I must admit it confusses me sometimes when read in conjuntion with some hadif's, but I strugle to understand it's teachings, I prey that God opens my eyes to all truths. Thanks for your postings freind

I know many in Islam teach that we of the scripture (christians and jews) beleive in three gods. This is not true though, it becomes even more confussing when the Church of Rome comes in with their worship of Mary, A very Spechial person, but not God. True Christianity beleioves in one God. We beleive that God became man in the form of Jesus. He was still God in heven, and God in man on earth. When we speak of Jesus we are talking about God as Savior of mankind, not a seperate intity from God. My father calls me ______ my wife calls me another name, and my children call me Daddy. I am all these things but one person. My father may say to me he is proud of me, and my childeren may look up to me and say thankyou daddy. We prase God the Father for sending God the Son. it is the same as saying God we thinkyou for yourself, and for sending yourself to us that we may know you. It would be the same as christians saying i beleive in God, and a Musalm saying I beleive in Allah, and a Jew saying well I believe in Yahweh or Elohim. Are these different gods or the same one true God of all? Don't be confused if a Christian says Jesus is God. He is not saying there are two gods, but that they are the same God. | | | |
