Games to play at baby shower?

You know what silly game always gets people in, pass the parcel, buy silly little things wrap them up and maybe a couple of rather good things and maybe a really good one, put some great appropriate music on something lively, get everyone on ther feet, and who ever has the parcel when the music stops gets to keep the prize, you will have to have someone to stop the music and maybe when someone wins a prize they get to stop the music the next time so everyone gets a go....it always worked for my parties.

There was one baby shower I went to where you had to cut a piece of string or ribbon in the size you thought best fit around the mom to be's stomach. I won. It was disgusting that I had to touch a pregnant woman's belly. The closest woman won. In this case, I won a set of cheap knock off china glasses from Wal-Mart.

Fill a baby bottle full of jelly beans. The closest number wins a door prize such as an oven mit or a pot holder or soething.

We also played a game where you couldn't say the word baby through the whole shower. You'll need some string and something baby like such a safety pin for diapers or a paci. Put the object on a string for each woman at the party as well as string or yarn, enough for each woman to wear as a necklace. Have each woman place the necklace with the baby safety pins or whatever around her neck when she gets to the party. The rules for this baby shower game are given out at the beginning of the baby shower that whenever someone says the word "baby" during the shower, any woman who calls it out gets a pin from the other woman who stated the word. At the end of the baby shower, the woman with the most pins wins a prize. I didn't win. I said baby right off just to get rid of that paci around my neck.

Also, make a game out of how many baby items you can name. Hand out pads of paper and pens or pencils and have a timed game such as 30 seconds. The winner is the woman who names the most baby items such as diapers, wipes, strollers etc.

Are the games for the baby or the guests? Or is it meant to entertain the other kids at the party? It's interesting many parents take the chance to party at the expense of the poor baby. Balloons would be one great favourite with the kids to keep them occupied while the parents can chat away. Best is to appoint a "chief" to entertain the children.... win-win for all:P

I have never really been to a babyshower, I'm not really a girlie girl with a lot of girl friends, but i wouldn't mind going to one, i have just not had oppertunity. I think you should play a game of pin the umbilical cord on the baby:) lol Just a fun thought:)

there is that game i have heard some friends talking about that you unroll the tiolet paper roll, and estimate on how ROUND the mommy is. how many squares will go arouund her, and the one that is closest wins.

And one that has something to do with clothespins and a wire hanger, i dont quiet unerstand that one myself. i've only seen it in pictures. lol
