I'm newish to this and I've uploaded a photo, but I don't know how to make it a default photo. Could someone help me please as I still have that green pic?

I think by default photo you are referencing the avatar. In order to change your avatar, you must go to "edit your preferences" and select the avatar from your computer. Your profile pictures are completely different and are not correlated to your avatar. Hope that helps!
