Does the return policy determine if you shop there?

Yes return policies are an important shopping factor. I did most of my shopping this year online.The stores I shopped at you can read the return policy. A nice bonus for the online shopper. Retail stores should include their return policy on the receip[t. Not just the generic void after 30n days. Maybe you could look to see if they have their policies online before you head to the stor.

It would disturb me if I had my receipt in hand and it was less than 30 days and they told me I could not get my money back. Some places even have a deal if it goes on sale within a period of time they will give you the difference. I believe this is excellent customer service.

I usualy try and exchange something if I can, but if I can't find a suitable replacement then I would like to be able to get my money back.

Not really no. I don't even think about the return policy unless I have to return something. I know it should be the otherway around, but usually, I don't have to return anything. It happens less than once a year,literally. So, I just shop. If it comes down to me having to return something, I'll see what I have to do, and what can be done. If I can't return it, I try to sell it to someone or turn it into a gift.

Yes and no. Sometimes the return policy matters to me and other times it doesn't. It all depends on what I'm shopping for. If I'm shopping for something that has a higher chance of needing to be returned, I'll definately check out the return policy, but only once I'm ready to buy my stuff, not before even looking around. I prefer shopping for great deals over shopping for great return policies. A store's return policy wouldn't make me less likely to shop there, but there may be certain things that I won't buy from them.

The return policy definitely enhances my shopping with the shop. It is not that I am looking forward to return but at times, it is just unavoidable if you are getting a gift especially with sizes. If it is non-returnable, the privilege to exchange is a sure welcome.

Oh, yes. I will not buy from a place, esp. for holidays, if stuff can't be taken back. I prefer Target b/c they print a gift receipt that I can put in the packages if people want to take stuff back.
