is hair straightening ok?  | |  my hair is long now but i hate the curls.i wanna eliminate it and pave way to the saloon by straightening.My big worry is the chemicals that saloon staff will be using. i don't trust their promises of not damaging my hair because these chemicals are fairly strong.Besides, it requires a thorough technical knowledge of the relaxing process.should i go for it?

I have natural curly hair and sometimes I get so discusted with mine.Theres only one or two ways to wear it and thats it.It does what it wants when it wants!!lol Ive straitened mine with the ceramic iron and it takes me 3 hours to straiten it then if it is muggy or damp outside, I might as well say Im gonna have the frizzies.I have not got a straitener from a salon so I dont know if it would damage the hair or not. The only thing is.... what if later down the road... we wanted the curls back? then what?
