Someone Stole My Christmas Tree

I put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving my kids were yelling for me to put it up. Maybe your wife and daughter will get your tree up for at least Christmas Eve if not where will you put your presents? Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I am so sorry with the twists and turns of life that you won't be doing a tree,

And just maybe your wife will surprise you and get it out and put it up.

if all else fails get a small 'Charlie Brown' Tree so that you have something, it doesn't have to be great,

My tree is up, and the lights are on, but I have yet to maek the ornaments.

I've got 3 ornaments on the tree right now from my Sunday night fiascal, and it was a mess, the one came out because I got it out before it hardened to breaking point, only 1 other ornament came out...

But I am also thinking of doing maybe a few applesauce ornaments as well....where you use equal parts of store bought apple sauce and cinammon to decorate it.

Why don't you have your wife and duaghter put up the tree and then have all the grand kids decorate it....and it cold be interesting....

This year we have a tree, my son is in the Navy and he is home for Christmas, first one since 2004. Last year we got an inflatable penguin and used that instead. Now a lot of Christmas spirit when he was not here.

He flew in yesterday, due to the weather over the weekend, he flew in in uniform knowing that if there were delays or cancellations they would try harder to get him another flight. But he flew US Air and there were no delays, they saw his uniform, took away his boarding pass and issued him a first class one - their standard procedure for military traveling in uniform is to upgrade to first class if a seat is available. This was his first Christmas gift, he is 6' 2 1/2" and still growing and weights in around 240, so regular seats are a tight squeeze for him.

I don't have a tree either this year. We had it up for a couple of weeks and then we had to take it down because we are trying to get organized for the move we will make just after Christmas. We enjoyed it for a while, but it just seemed to get in the way so we took it down.

As I was raising my children christmas was a little bitter sweet for me.
One of my children pass away during the season and each year a part of me greived while I was celebrating my children.
After my children moved out and before the grandchildren started coming I didn't put up a tree, a little self indulgent but I felt that after all those years I could do it without harming my living children.
Now I have grandchildren, parents, brothers, sisters, neices, nephews,,,,,,,all gather in my home so I no longer indulge myself and put a tree up. Susan

If I waited for my husband to put up a tree we would not have one! I have a four foot fake tree that I bought at Rite-aid eight years ago and would love to have a real one but it is never going to happen. So I will just have to wait till this one slowely dies a sad death over the years and throw it out and then I may not be putting up a tree at all. The tree however nice does not make the holiday!

No tree for us either this year. We are not having christmas here this year so we didnt bother.

Well at least you have a small one. We had a 'real' tree last year. We cut down two scrub pines that my daughter picked out and tied them together. It was a Charlie Brown tree at best. But she picked them and they were spectacular!
Christmas is about love and family. I think you have enough love in your family and home that you can do without a tree and still be happy.

We put a tree up this year. If it was up to me I wouldn't put one up because I watch kids in my home and they are always trying to mess with it. But my husband said we had to put one up for my son so we did. My son loves it but he keeps taking ornaments off of it and he has already unwrapped three gifts that are under the tree and they weren't even his. LOL

It wasn't me! lol. I will share my tree with you so you don't have to go without one this year. How you like my red teddy bear I put on top of my tree? I couldn't find the right tree topper so I made my own. lol.
