Tell me about the furniture in your house....

Well we have a brand new couch. And we didnt even buy it. Someone gave it to us. I guess they didnt like it so they bought a new one. And then we have a couple of recliners but they are very old.

Our house is furnished with a mixture of new and used. Our couch and love seat were purchased brand new (at tax time of course..lol) from a discount furniture retailer in northern Indiana. We also have an old la-z-boy recliner which has wooden arms (if that's any indication as to it's age) that I'd purchased at a moving sale for two dollars. We have two coffee tables, one was bought new and the other was handed down to me from my Grandmother. Our end tables are all pretty old, they were my hubby's Grandparents that were handed down to him. I also inherited my Grandmothers beautiful cherry wood hutch.

I think the best deal I've ever gotten on furniture was at the moving sale where I got the recliner cuz I'd also purchased an antique table with six chairs, a matching buffet, and an answering machine...all for the low, low price of $65.00 and they even hauled it to my house for free!
