my Dad is in the hospital this morning

thank you. he has been hospitalized and is in the intensive care unit for the night due to pnemonia. hope that i spelt that correctly.

thank you. i am a sad puppy today. my Dad has pnemonia, however that you spell that and luckily he didn't break his hip when he fell this morning, but they were going to do a catscan on him this afternoon and visiting hours were over in the intensive care unit at 5 p.m. here so we all just came on back home until in the morning. they are really strick in the ICU unit of the hospital, but i know that my Dad is in good hands. but anyways, when he went to get out of bed this morning he fell and hit the back of his head on his dresser and that is the reason for the CT scan. thanks for caring.

thanks for the hug. my Dad has pnemonia. and he did not break his hip when he fell so, that is very good news, but they were going to do a catscan on him this afternoon and we will know the results i guess from that in the morning when we go to visit with him. that was going to be done due to him falling and hitting the back of his head this morning when he went to get out of the bed. and yes, i hate it when the phone rings early in the mornings because that always means some bad news is waiting when i answer the phone and say hello. and my Dad just turned 87 this year in October. so yeah, please dear God do not let my telephone ever ring early in the morning again like it did this morning. thanks for your kind words.

Oh my, for me it's usually the middle of the night because of the time difference between here and Portugal where my mom is. I only got one of such calls but it scared me so much!!!
Glad to hear his hip is fine. Now he just needs to concentrate on getter better from the pneumonia.
My thoughts will continue with both of you.

i stayed by my Dad's side today from 11 this morning when i arrived at the hospital until 5 this afternoon when visiting hours were over. oh carol, they have my Dad in the intensive care unit for tonight. visiting hours in the morning are from like 9 am till 11 then not until tomorrow afternoon again. i plan on being there again tomorrow as well. i will be there everyday until my Dad gets to go home. my Dad turned 87 this past October. thanks for caring.

I am so sorry to hear he's in ICU. Was it a broken hip? I know it's hard on you. I went through all this with both my parents and had 3 kids at home. Not an easy time. Will be thinking about you and say prayers for your dad. Take care.

I'm glad to hear he did not break his hip, because that can be quite painful. My mom had two hips replaced and she has never been the same--she's always in pain and cannot walk without assistance. Will say a quick prayer that your dad's CATscan turns our ok.
