My wife's grandma has presented us an electric steam-cooking device. Never used.

No, my wife usually just cooks things like vegetables on the stove top.

my family and i stean cook alot... i find that we use steam cooking more for veggies than really anything else... i find that it tastes alot better than actually boiling the veggies.. you will notice alot of difference if you do steam your veggies... and think of it this way it has all the nutirents still in it...

Most of our food items are steam cooked except those which are prepared with curds. In fact many of our south Indian dishes deserves to be steam-cooked.

I would LOVE to have a steamer! Steaming is the healthiest way of cooking by far. You can steam veggies, meat, even rice if you know how. The great thing is you can add your seasonings afterward. Lemon juice is a great thing to add to anything you've steamed, and salt as needed or soy or teriyaki...but the point is you skip the oil entirely.

It seems that steaming is the most healthy way to cook. However, I pay attention to the taste much more. So I enjoy deep fried food.

opinione hi yes we quite often steam rice and veggies though I do not have an electric steamer, I have a two piece revere ware steamer with a copper bottom. It works just as well and is easy to use, the food has no oil and is so much healthier, veggies just taste so much better, only takes a few minutes.
