|  CNN is looking for voices to complement their nightly news, and Ozzy Osbourne has thrown his name into the hat and auditioned

Do you think Ozzy would make a good news voice, or do you think that his reputation as a hard rock/punk rock singer will over shadow what he is trying to do here.
I really have mixed feelings about this, but I have to wonder why he's trying for this kind of job, its seems very out of place for him to do this.
Would you watch CNN to see or even just to hear him?
I know I wouldn't.

| |  I think he is trying to expand his options. No one wants to be typecast. I remember one of the singers in KISS that was known for painting their faces in outrageous designs of black and white going into the movies. He started first as a villain and once you removed the makeup, he did not look weird. Also since Ozzy Osbourne is older, the idea of a hard rock/punk. rock singer does not go over that well when your hair is going gray at the temples and when you are putting on a little weight. I watch CNN for the news not for the news reporter and depending on what type of news he reads, he is an entertainer so if it is the entertainment news, he would no more about it than an ordinary reporter would.
