Which do ulike best? Final fantasy or Suikoden?

i love final fantasy however i have never tried suikoden.
are they under the same gaming company?

I never got into Suikoden. Possibly because they just have no fanbase where I live. Final Fantasy was always my RPG of choice since I played the original for the NES. I think I've seen a Suikoden game once though, not being played but in the discount bin at the local Wall Market. (aka Wal Mart) Ever since FF12 was released and I got bored enough to try FFX-2 I've been curious about the alternatives. Squenix's story writing abilities seem to be getting worse and worse as the graphical capabilities of game platforms improves. In your opinion which one is a good one to start with? The only one I've really heard of is Suikoden Tactics, is it comparable to FFT? Or should I be looking at one of their other normal rpg's instead?

i personally like both of them. both Final Fantasy and Suikoden. i ever try both.. both are nice, fun and interesting. Final Fantasy i good at their story plotting and some of the battle and game play system. as for Suikoden, i like their "the 108 stars of destiny". you can choose other 100++ character for your own strategy.

Superior story lines . They know how to emphasizes story and game play over eye candy and music. FF dose the total opposite.

If you had asked me a few years back when PSX was still the major platform I would have sed FF hands down. But, as perviously stated, Square-Enix's storytelling has been getting worse as their graphics get better(FFX was terrible, FFx-2 was cheezy, FFXI was an mmorpg and FFXII tried way too hard). In the time since PS2 Suikoden has outclassed FF in just about everywhere (except for graphics, but Suikoden promotes the manga type style anyway so it's hard to compare the 2)

All in all I'd say Suikoden wins, which kind of hurts becuase i looooooved fft, ffvii and anthology

I'll always go for Suikoden. It's the best game ever for me aside from Legend of Dragoon. The first Suikoden game I've played was Suikoden 2. The plot is tear-jerking. I've always loved Jowy and I hated it a lot when he betrayed the game's hero. It's really sad. It even made me cry when Nanami died.

Suikoden is my favorite game series.
Superb story, interesting characters, and amazing music.
I also love the setting of the games, with it's history, it just seems awesome.
