Improvised Harness/Walker  

That is a very nice harness indeed. I don't know if we even have such things here, maybe they do. My question is though, why isn't your child walking by 15 months of age? Is there something wrong? My brother never walked until he was 3 but he had polio... that was a long time ago.. but I was wondering if everything is okay?

maybe its just me but i have a problem with people using anumal stuff on their kids leashes, hanrness', whats next a muzzle? that being said...
u cannot and should not compare your two children one will always come up lacking and eventually develope a complex im sure u dont want that do u?
my oldest son was running and jumping b4 his first bday my youngest didnt walk until he 2+ it doesnt meant that there is anything wrong with the kid they just arent ready y would u want to rush ur child into doing things he is not ready to do? i just dont understand that please explain

I think that this is a great idea. Have you tried bouncers and Walkers. I used a stationary bouncer with my kids and they were all walking by 12 months. I would put them in there bouncer and eventually they would just get up and go.

Out of my 6 children only one was almost 10 months old when he started walking. The others were around 8 and 9 months old. He was just too lazy and his brother catered to his every whimper. All he had to do was point at something and his brother would get it for him. I had to put a stop to that...
I never used a harness nor a walker.

I would not use this, if the doctor thinks your son has no problems, then let him develop his skills on his own. He will learn to walk soon enough and personally, the older they are the smarter they are and the less likely they are to get hurt.

My son was 9 months old and he was up and running and he would not hesitate to take a dive for a flight of stairs, he would flip over strollers and get into everything.

If he is crawling...he will start standing soon enough.

This is a nice concept to help your child walk, but all kids fall down when they learn to walk. It's funny how they bounce right back up lol. We have many different type of Walkers here in the states. Most are leg powered by the child, and it strengthens the muscles as the child stand and walks alone. They are able to navigate wherever they want to go.

It looks like a great idea to me. Pity that I don't know about it. My son started to walk quite early and now since he is very big and tall, I can't even lift him. Do you have anything to help me with that? :)

Its not a very big problem as you think, some children has taken time to walk. now your son is only 15 months don't worry some children takes two years for walking. you give him proper diet, one important think is this,
only once you should treating from doctor If your child has any calciuum
problem so doctor advice you better. my brother is 10. in his child hood
he is wlkes around 20 months we give to them proper diet, checkup, in his 20.5 he is starting running. So don't worry

Hi Toni beta, I have checked the photo, the device looks so simple, I must congratulate your mother in law for her idea. I am happy that you do not have to bend and thus no back ache. I am not a 'mom', but a grand father of three girls and one boy. The kids should start walking by 10-11 months usually but for some it may be delayed. My kids and grand kids never needed this device for walking. Hope every thing will be ok soon. Take care.
