Is a Pregnant Gold fish really called a TWIT?  

OMG OMG ROFL...and now out the door and rolling around the yard! I will never be able to look at anyone's falling star again and not think of pregnant goldfish clicking away like little maniacs hoping to reproduce!
When I was growing up the term twit was used to indicate a person with a tiny brain, and fish certainly have small brains. lol The term twirp was used to indicate a little and small minded person. Again, goldfish are small and have small brains, and are for the most part mindless. The term tw*t was used to indicate in a crude way to describe a woman's vag*na as was considered an insult. So in spite of the straightdope people still not convinced that that a pregnant goldfish can be called a twit, I think I've updated the venacular to show that in some places, like here!, the image of twits could also be the image of pregnant goldfish frantically pushing buttons with the intent to insult. OMG OMG ROFL. I may not get over this. This is just too funny and I'm practically hysterical with laughter. If the dogs would stop barking I might be able to calm down. Oh, the're not barking - they're laughing!

Oh my gosh I don't think I have ever had such a good laugh. I think this was a much needed laugh for the day .. How many of the people were doing drugs when they decided the definitions of the words on the link. wow . I don't know where to start so I'll take the easy way out and say whatever lounge says.

Haha!! That is hilarious!! I would never have actually sat down and thought about the fact that they never get pregnant and therfore we should have known the term "twit" for a preggo goldfish was BS in the first place. I guess someone decided to take out the "A" and put in a "I" for proprietary reasons or just cause they could. Funny discussion!
