ASP Coding

I am a web designer who only know html coding and learning ASP was something I thought about doing. Before I decide to do so or not, I wanted to know if there were any webmasters on MyLot experienced with asp who could answer my question. What things can asp do that html cannot?

i know jsp which is just like asp... im considering learning that language as well... in asp, you can have access in a database which plain html can not....

For a regular website without a database or a log in, is there anyone that asp will let you do that html won't? Does jsp have anything to do with javascript? Thanks for the response.

for just a plain website with just browsing, html will be fine... in fact html is the most basic language in which other languages are based... jsp is short for javaserver pages... you can put javascript in jsp if you like..

i think dreamweaver is an html coding but it can be also xhtml extend hypertextmakerlink. it is much better the asp
