My son too has epilepsy (JME ) he is 17 & was diagnosed 2 years ago,he too had all the scans you mentioned,one of the scans showed epileptic activity & he has a cyst on the left side of his brain,which the doctors say is not connected to the epilepsy & will not effect him now or in the future,he takes 500mg 2 times a day of epilim chrono,we are lucky thats the only ones hes ever had to take,no seizures since April 2007.
I know exactly what your going through with your daughter,the biting of the tounge etc,we feel so helpless & just want it be us instead of them !!Sometimes people have to try different meds before they find one that will work,not sure how that works with a 2 yr old tho.
Anyway i dont know anything about herbal medicines,i wish i did !!

I know it gets expensive but if you can find a naturopath in your area or if you are fortunate enough to have insurance that will pay it would well be worth it to have your daughter checked out. I don't know enough to say what could possibly be wrong but at least have her checked out for heavy metal toxicity and possible food allergies. They can do hair analysis to see if she is reacting to something. They obviously don't have a diagnosis such as a particular syndrome. Also, why is she so large/heavy? The drugs wouldn't cause abnormal growth so is it possible this has to do with hormonal imbalances? An undiagnosed tumor? I know she has had the usual scans etc. Have you taken her to a pediatric hospital? You have a very difficult situation to deal with and so much heartache and worry and my prayers are with you. Hi I hope all is well at your end so far , I'm a 41 year old male & I was diagnosed with EPILEPSY at the age of 14 months. I wasn't told about my siezures & of the effects due to the age . Not until I was 15 did I finally findout what was wrong with me. The Dr told me MY MOM asked for Me not to know until a later age about it for I wouldn't understand back then. Well i'm now moved out from My moms place in ILLINOIS & living with my fiancee in KENTUCKY . We'Ve been together 4 years 3 months as of FEB 19Th 04 - We met online on Yahoo & Still together Thank God for He was the one who brought us together all on pure faith inbetween my fiancee & I. I've only had Grandmal siezures once in my lifetime & that was back in NOV 2000 4 of them back to back. I was hospitalised & in there for a week or so , then released. Other than that i've had both Pitete mals & Medium ones. I'm not sure what all your daughter is on , but i'm on 4 Anti-Siezure meds for mine but not all of them I take same number or dose of at sametime. All are taken differently 3 Times daily 8AM 2PM & 7PM . Hope to hear from you soon . :0)
