Sharing Paranormal Experiences... | | My friend and I were talking about our paranormal experiences tonight. I think we both believed before, but even moreso now, we have both had experiences. He has a regular ghost, and I have experienced, visually and by feeling, several spirits, so we were comparing notes. His ghost appears as a frail, lost man which he says is vaguely familiar, and has, apparently been seen by at least one other. Mine, normally don't have a face that I can make out, except for one, which I've seen on two occasions.
We are both quite broadminded, but he sometimes gets hesitant in that he tells me that what I feel is the answer is possible, but not to read too much into it. I find I can't help it. Something nags away at my mind trying to find a solution. I am very interested in why this happens and also, why it only happens to certain people. I try to make sense of it. Perhaps I shouldn't... or perhaps I should ask the apparitions who they are and what they're looking for. I don't know, but they very rarely speak. Maybe they contact you through mind waves or something... I wish I knew how to go about finding out for myself.
Does anybody else experience paranormal apparitions and if so, do you wish you knew why, or what do you make of the incidents?

Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | I doubt it had come to take her to her death, because if it wanted to do that, and wanted in, it would have found its way in. I think maybe her fear of it made it go away, rather than anything else. It was probably nothing more than an old inhabitant of your house, or somebody searching for another who lived there.
Brightest Blessings.

Lakota12 (16990) | 2 years ago | the way she said they were dresse made me think it was poeple from along way back that might have lived on the land before a house was ever built there. also before we bought it some people had it as thier meeting house for church I would say alot of singing and stomping went on in it then. AS they were like holy rollers. dont know how long it was a chruch after the old people that lived in it before died. and to after the house burnt down she never seen them again. But I also dont think we were to have that land for we put a trailer on it and a tornado tookit we sold it th land and moved west!

Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | Wow... that's very interesting, my friend... a curious spirit, maybe? Perhaps they were seeking the solace of the church that was there before, or perhaps they were a victim of the fire? Who knows?
Interesting too, that your trailer was taken by a tornado... one of life's energies at work, it seems. I'm intrigued now!!!
Wasn't it you who told me about a ghostly mail wagon or something driving past your home, when you were younger? It seems to me that you're very receptive to spirits, my friend. There's the other experiences as well, with Chey, which I find most amazing, yet very comforting for you.
The trouble with me is, I try to find reason for everything. My friend tells me not to read too much into things, but I can't help it, for I'm of the opinion that there's a reason, or perhaps a sign, in all of these experiences. I must talk with you more, about this. It might help me to understand my own "visions".
Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xx

Lakota12 (16990) | 2 years ago | well not sure if that was me .BUt my father in law was driving an old wagon down a road when A figure in white appeared in front of him and he had a hard time holding the horses till it dis appeared . also he was in a house spending the night and something kept pulling the covers off him. One time in the funeral homewhen we could spend all night with the person. We were setting with my hubbies Uncle that got run over by a train. I had gone over to him and was seeing how they had put in together and on the left side they had cotton and a stick to make his arm nad his hand was just laying there and I swer he set right up and was tring to tell me something altho no words came out that I could hear . and every one I talked to said he went under the guard rail and walked in front of the train. and before he went to town he had washed all his coveralls and told my sis in law that he was tired of hurting and was going to get a bottle which he probably did. I beleive he was telling her that he was ending it all that day. also that day we lived about 100 miles from there my daughter went to her room to clean it and then I heard her cring and I asked her what was wrong all she could say was We got to go home!. Didnt know why and late that night we had a sheriff come to our door and tell us that Jim was dead . weird huh?

Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | I wouldn't call it weird, although some people might. I find it all very interesting, because I've seen and I believe. However, not all people are receptive to spirits and spiritual messages. Your whole family seems to be, especially your daughter, and her daughter. I have a feeling that the whole concept might be passed down through generations, and there is probably still a connection between our ancestors and those in the family who didn't even know them.
I believe also in reincarnation, and it's possible, although I'm not sure that it's likely, that past spirits or souls, are reborn back into the family. Another area for thought, I guess. I'm sorry if I'm stirring too much up here, Lakota... I know you still have connections with past spirits, and I know you believe, so it's easy to talk to you. We're also honest with each other, which helps. Some people will elaborate on things, or hold back because they're afraid people will think them crazy, or weird. But, I find it easy and interesting to talk to you, my friend. So, please excuse me, or tell me to "bog off" if I'm going too far.:)
I think your daughter was probably reached by your hubby's uncle's spirit as it left his body... some sort of preminition as they would call it. She certainly knew somehow that something was up, just as I felt my friend's Mum's spirit as she left for the Otherworld. I know it was her, and I know she was wanting me to pass a message to him that she was ok now. I'm just thinking here, that it may be easier for spirits to contact females. Don't ask me why, but maybe we're more receptive to them? Your father and my friend kinda break that rule though. Perhaps it's just that men don't talk about their experiences so much.
Cause for thought anyway, my friend. Thank you for sharing all that. xxx

Lakota12 (16990) | 2 years ago | NP and could be that men dont talk about it much as my hubby came home one day early from work it was the day that the shuttle blew up after he seen the news he said he had seen it in a dream but he never told us anything before hand I think it scared him in away.
| |
|
|
Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | Yes, it very probably scared him to the extent that he felt the need to talk to somebody about it. I've never actually had a preminition of a disaster, but I would imagine that when it really happens as you've seen, it can shake you up a bit!
| |
|
|
Lakota12 (16990) | 2 years ago | yup I am sure it did that day but he still wouldnt tell if he say something in advance. BUt there would be times he would turn around from going to work and come home and we would have a tornado somewhere in between the house and work!
| |
|
|
Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | It could be that he just passed it off as a normal dream, rather than a premonition, until it came true, that is! That's the scary part!

| | 3. mummymo (11642) | 2 years ago | I haven't had apparitions but I have known things were about to happen that there is no way could be coincidence! I do believe there is some truth in the paranormal but I also believe that some people block out any chance of it happening to them through negativity. I do not know the answers or how to find out the answer and my way of thinking is that it is probably better not to know! I don't believe these 'spirits' are here to cause harm - only to look out for us! Just my opinion sweety! xxx

Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | Hi, Mummymo. I hope you're feeling much better. ((((Hugggs)))).
Yes, premonitions are similar to apparitions, I guess, except they appear as a dream. I think you're right, in that some people are more receptive and open-minded about the paranormal. For sure, I believe in it because I've seen, and when they came to me, I didn't really believe one way or the other, but I have to say that thinking back from the first time I realised what was happening, I think I've been having these experiences from childhood. It's difficult to explain that one, but I always have to find a reason for things... I'm like that, and it gets me thinking on back into the past, and other occurrences.
I think there are bad spirits out there, or "demons" for the want of a better word, but I ward them off anyway, and so far, thank goodness, I have had all friendly encounters. But, as you say, there are those who brush off the stories, with negativity, and these people are difficult for the spirits to connect with. I'll tell you a little story, without too much detail... I use my scrying bowl at Samhain, particularly, and this past festival, I had a very alarming experience with it. My sacred space was full of restless spirits, and I was quite transfixed, but I couldn't pack up and shun them. Strange, huh? They obviously wanted to get some message through, and I think now, I know what it was.:)
Sorry... hope I haven't "spooked" you too much. Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. Keep smiling! xxxxx

| | 4. humbleme (433) | 2 years ago | Hello Darkwing,Thanks for this intereting discussion.First of all according to me there is nothing paranormal but everything is normal and scientific but as we still dont have all the answers to prove them scientifically, we name it paranormal, some people added their own fake stories with hysterical mind and has been subjected the targets of the critics and has made this subject funny, but people who understand science very welldont become a critic as they know if there is exsistence of Positive there is also exsitence of Negative,if air and voice frequencies cant be seen with naked eyes the presence of spirits too normally cant be seen with naked eyes unless unless they choose their method of proving their presence . Thanks again.

Darkwing (7519) | 2 years ago | Wow... thank you Humbleme, for that extremely thoughtful and feasible explanation. Yes, I think you're right, "paranormal" is just a label given to things we, as a general body, don't understand. Will anybody every know every detail of how the Universe works, or evolved? I doubt it. "Ours is not to reason why", as the saying goes.
However, I do have the feeling that perhaps certain souls are chosen to be receptive to "apparitions/premonitions"... maybe they're souls which have travelled the planes, i.e. been reborn several times. I don't know... I'm not a scientific person, but I do know what I've seen, even though I can't prove anything, and nor can anybody else. So, I guess those who are "chosen" will go on believing, and those who aren't, or who don't have an open enough mind, will go on rebuffing the idea of there being spirits and energies out there.
Thank you, my friend, for such an enlightening comment. Brightest Blessings.
