Paparazzi arrested chasing Britney Spears |
|
Ok, I have to say for once I'm glad to hear this, they were arrested and charged with traveling to close, unsafe lane changes, driving at unsafe speeds, etc, etc. I know Britney Spears may be fascinating to them to try to get more dirt on, but she is a human and at some point in time these yutzes need to give her some space http://news.yahoo.com/s/a... If the Paparazzi would give celebrities some space there might not be so many accidents and the like and maybe, just maybe Princess Diana would not have died the way she did. What do you think Was it right to arrest the paparazzi? Mooch

1. barrudaki (857) | 8 months ago | I'm glad some type of law enforcement is happening with the putzarazzi. Everytime I see a swarm of them chasing a celebrity in a car I think how can they get away with it? They are obviously breaking the law and putting people's lives in danger, yet the magazines who pay them obviously encourage the dangerous behavior. I would love to see law enforcement take a bigger stand against the photographers who purposely try to cause mayhem just to get a stupid picture.

myrith (1045) | 8 months ago | Well she did run her car over one of the paparazzi's foot last year, and nothing happened there, plus I think she likes the attention, however now it seem to be getting too much for her.

2. jeweledbluerose (2082) | 8 months ago | It's about time something is starting to be done about the paparazzi. Personally I think they are creating hazardous situations, not only for themselves and the celebrity they are chasing, but also for those everyday citizens as well. Nothing like chasing around a celebrity is worth risking anyone's life over, just so they can get the "scoop of the day" and make big money off it. Don't care if it's their living or not, paps need to realize that the rules still apply to them as well, and that celebrities are invisible or have super human powers, that protect them from being hurt. My applause to the police officers that arrested the 4 paps, for wreckless driving, should also put on there wreckless endangerment as well.

3. carmelanirel (4632) | 8 months ago | Oh yeah, and they should have stiffer fines because they will just do it again when they are free.. And like you said, Princess Diana would probably still be alive if these people would back down once in a while..

4. eyewitness (1134) | 8 months ago | it was definately the right thing to do .I mean paparazzi is going too far.I mean like you said princess di would have still lived if they weren't there also they should realise that one needs their privacy even celebraties. What if we normal people would do the same to the paparazzi as they do to the celebrities als photographing every private moment i think they will get angry and they will get more respect to the celebrities.

6. angieang (139) | 8 months ago | Yes, Paparazzi's can sometimes cross the line into stalkers. Why is it that everyone wants to know so much about these celebrities? They are normal people with lots of money!

7. bcote212 (832) | 8 months ago | I am really sickened by the paparazzi. I understand that they are just doing their job, but the job of a paparazzo is to exploit people. The sad thing is that we are the reason for this exploitation. We the people who buy all the magazines. The enquirer, the globe etc. These people are putting people at risk. Look at Princess Diana. If it were not for all of us buying those junk magazines there would not have been [people chasing her, and she still would be alive. Its really sad that we are willing to risk another persons life just so that we can get off on reading about them cutting their hair, or waling around without shoes. Come on, give me a break. people know when they get into acting that there is some privacy that they give up, but just because we read about them and know all of their work does not mean that we have the right to exploit them.

8. Modestah (7374) | 8 months ago | absolutely, they should not be given special privileges because of their job and its mission, they are not extraordinary heroes out to save the world or anything. If they were breaking the law and in addition posing a threat to other drivers by their recklessness, by all means charge them. by the same token if spears or her driver were being reckless in avoiding them, they too should be fined - unless circumstances were that they were defending their lives.

9. tyc415 (2480) | 8 months ago | I also feel if the Paparazzi would not get in people's faces, chase them down, break in their houses or what ever they do and would just be like a normal person and get permission they would get a whole lot more pictures and not stress everyone out and put lives in danger. I think too that Diana would be alive today if not for them.

Modestah (7374) | 8 months ago | really, it is against the law to be a peeping tom - or to get recordings of people without their permission, but somehow these vultures feel they are above the law - like they are doing some great service to people everywhere. bleh.

10. pyewacket (8065) | 8 months ago | Oh how I hate paparazzi..they give a really bad name to any photographer, especially honest ones... I never blame a celebrity if I hear they "deck out" an annoying photographer/paparazzi. Unfortunately it creates photographers as victims..just suppose you're walking along a street in Hollywood, and you have your camera, and you see someone "famous"...well depending on which celebrity you're dealing with, you might just want an "innocent' photo of the person, but they, the celebrity might think you're a pesky paparazzi and decks you one--uh, I understand George Clooney has a "temper" against photographers..any kind. Yes, I definitely do think Diana might be alive if she hadn't been trying to escape from paparazzi.. Then you hear of course about unscrupulous paparazzi who stalk celebrities all the time or try to take candid (and I mean CANDID) photos of celebrities in their backyards using high power telephoto lenses..definitely not right..aren't we all allowed privacy?? These paparazzi don't seem to think so
