Brad Renfro died at 25

Hello dear princesslexie. There seems to be quite some movie stars taking drugs and alcohol in their daily life, which could lead to some unexpected diseases and death to them. I hope that more and more people will be able to realize this and resist taking drugs and overdrink alcohol for their own good. Thanks.

I was totally horrified and upset at such a horrific early death, I remember Brad Renfro who starred alongside Ian McKellen in Stephen King's Apt Pupil, he was a very very good actor! What a sad waste of a life, 25 is no age is it. He was quite a good looker too wasn't he. I agree he was very talented and he could have been a successful actor and would have done so much! Sad day indeed. The film industry will have lost a great actor

Sad story that makes us think a while ... another child star that turned out into all the bad things. It is becoming a habit these days. The name certainly rang a bell for The Cure and Apt Pupil. It saddened me to hear of Brad Renfro's passing away and at such a young age when there's supposed to be more in store in life stage. The Client was also one of my favorite court cases movies and I liked Brad there. May his soul rest in peace.

OMG, that is so awful!! He also did a movie called "Bully" that was very good as well. When I saw the movie he looked so familiar to me but it wasn't until much later that I found out that he was the little boy from "The Client".

Another child star actor that died (and I had the BIGGEST crush on) was Johnathan Brandis. I don't know if you knew him but he was in "Ladybugs", "Neverending Story 2" and was in a tv show called "Seaquest". Well he committed suicide when he was 27...I was so crushed when I found out.

It is such a shock when someone dies unexpectedly, but even more so when they are so young!!

I was very surprised when I read that, he was a promising young actor. Hollywood seems to have a way of destroying peoples lives. When I read that, I immediately thought of River Phoenix.

The name sounds familiar, but I have no idea who he is. I didn't see any mention of it in the news either. It's so sad when young people die.

I just got a chill up my spine when I read your post. I too was a fan of his. There was something about him-just a warmth that he emitted. 25 is so young-only one year older than I am. and it's sad that it took me a whole week to hear about it. I am aware that he had substance abuse problems. It is incredibly sad. What a waste of a talented actor.
