I am an adult, I swear! |
|
For years, I have been a closet Disney Channel fan. I have loved all the Disney Channel shows ever since they started showing Boy Meets World and Sister Sister. I have been known to watch That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and now I'm on a Hannah Montana kick. It's mindless, silly fun and reminds of me of the shows I liked when I was a kid. Simple. Am I the only adult who likes kid shows? If you have any kids, do they watch these shows? If so, do you secretly watch with them? Or, maybe you're proud to admit your addiction to kiddie shows. Which ones do you like? Assuming you're willing to admit you watch them. What about kids movies? Pixar, Disney, etc?

I even watch it sometimes when no one else is home. Hannah Montana is not a bad show either. I also like the Highschool Musical movies. I do like Disneys movies too I took my son to the drive in to see Pixar Cars.

I used to watch all the kids movies when my kids were little, but have not watched one in a long time now. Some of them are excellent viewing.

3. pyewacket (7847) | 7 months ago | Ah. Sadly alas I no longer have cable ...waaaahhh. But I did used to watch the Disney Channel all the time. In general I love watching kid shows and particularly movies that are geared more for kids...In fact I'm more apt to watch a kiddie movie that a slice of life, adult movie...I was ONLY introduced to the 2003 version of Peter Pan not too long ago and long it...now my cats think there mom (me) is a tad weird as I walk around the house saying, "I do believe in fairies I do, I do".. Heck I even know how to say it in French as I switched the Subtitles of the DVD once to French..."J'y croix aux fees existe, j'y croix, j'y croix"

dfn12968 (5595) | 7 months ago | pye, i have been thinking about getting rid of my cable for a while now, and i should because i don't watch much tv. but, i can't bring myself to do it, and now that i'm back on my disney kick...and american idol is back, i don't think i can. it would be a great way to save $50 a month though.

4. loungeact (497) | 7 months ago | When I was a kid my head was out of proportion to my ears and the kids used to call me mickey mouse because of my ears and the black togue my mother made me wear on my little round head didn't help. I hated Disney and anything related to Disney. Then one day I realized that my head had grown to balance the size of my ears and I no longer looked like a mouse. It was about the same time that my Dad took us to Disneyland and I fell in love with Minnie, but wouldn't go near Mickey! So I now watch as many Disney movies as I can, but I can't say I like their tv programming. Too many kids and too many memories! LOL

5. bellaofchaos (1944) | 7 months ago | I love disney movies and some of the shows on the disney channel. I sometimes watch with my kids that way I know what they're watching is ok. Because they were watching ned's declassified and they starting playing this game at my grams were they were pantsing eachother so I had to tell them that was not a funny game and ban the show but I think that is a nickelodean show. But I just love watching the disney movies that have come on.

6. raijin (6735) | 7 months ago | I do watch them at times, but my 5 y/o niece is the one's who knows most about these shows now!;) When I have time, I watch some of those Disney shows with her. She loves Totally Spies and other kiddie programs that I am not much aware of right now, but I'm the one's who introduced that channel to her!;) Animes and other cartoons are popular here in my country, from the young ones to those young at hearts -like me!;) Sometimes, we can't stop talking about them even on public where passersby would leave a surprised look because of the topic of our conversations!;)

7. rovian (775) | 7 months ago | I liked Boy Meets World, it was very entertaining with a few funny scenes. Hanna Montana, Drake and Josh, and iCarly, I have found to be good shows and will watch an episode from time to time. I don't keep track of when they come on and then change my T.V to the right channel. Only when my T.V is already on the right channel when the show starts. With these three shows, I say I have seen a few episodes but I don't consider myself a fan. I have seen maybe three episodes of The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. Some for Thats so Raven and Cory in the House. I will watch Pixar/Disney movies if they were ones I have seen a couple of years ago. I will NOT watch Sponge Bob Square Pants.

8. ljegbers (5294) | 7 months ago | Oh you...you're telling me...Noggin, Nik at Night and Disney are totally addictive. My daughter and I sit and watch Drake & Josh, Fresh Prince and Degrassie every night. It's our cuddle time and to be honest, I'm still watching those channels even if she's found something else to do. I love the Pixar and we have a variety of Disney movies too. Hey, I even watch Backyardigans with her! I love Dora and Wow Wow Wubbzie is a favorite - we eat breakfast to that show. No, you can watch these and enjoy them as an adult....it just brings out the kid in you!
