Apparently Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze is the favorite love story of the last 20 years and it is one of my favourite movies as well.
What is yours?

5. raydene (5312) | 2 years ago | I did also like Ghost. I just wayched 'A Mightly Heart' It is a wonderful movie that will break your heart and you will see what a special person Mariane Pearl is.. quote from the trailer "On January 23, 2002, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl is to fly from Karachi to Dubai with his pregnant wife, Mariane, also a reporter. On the day before, with great care, he has arranged an interview in a café with an Islamic fundamentalist cleric. When Danny doesn't return, Mariane initiates a search. Pakistani police, American embassy personnel, and the FBI examine witnesses, phone records, e-mails, and hard drives. Who has him? Where is he? There's also the why: because of U.S. abuse of prisoners at Guantanimo, because of a history of Journal cooperation with the CIA, because Pearl is a Jew? Through it all, Mariane is clearheaded, direct, and determined. Written by{jhailey@hotmail.com} "

6. asgtswife04 (1552) | 2 years ago | Mine would have to be the Notebook. I absolutely love that movie and could only hope that my husband and I will be like that when we get old. It, to me, is the greatest love story of all times. Just my opinion though. thanks for posting and God bless

7. susaneverson (4945) | 2 years ago | I seen this movie when it was released in 1976, I was 15 at the time and was so shocked I argued with my older brother and sister that things like that did not happen. Even though I had already been molested for years and raped twice by that point in my life, I was very nieve about some of the ways of the world. I went on wikipedia to give you a plot line: Billy Joe confesses his love to the lovely Bobbi Lee only to cover his growing fear that he may, in fact, be homosexual. One night, at a barn dance, he gets a little drunk and rather than going with the hired wh*res, gives into his desires and sexual relations with an unnamed man. The guilt causes him to run away, hide in the woods and eventually confess everything to Bobbi Lee who doesn't want to believe him only because she was enjoying the forbidden nature of their love. In the end, he cannot accept his sexuality nor can he hide behind Bobbi Lee and that's why he throws himself off the Tallahachee bridge. I have bought a copy and rewatch it once in a while. It is sometimes hard to remember that I was that nieve at one point in my life. Susan

8. stephcjh (22850) | 2 years ago | Oooohhhhhhhh. I like Ghost too. I wish life could be like that when a loved one passes on. My dad died when I was 13 and I would love for him to be able to speak to me and I to him.
My favoite move happens to be Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation. We watch that movie throughout the year just to get a good laugh even though it is a Christmas movie. That movie is my families life over.
The things that happen in the movie, is like they are telling the story of my household, for real.

| Tarzan63 (93) | 2 years ago | Good variety and selection. I like your list. I am reading the posts to see what people are saying. I watch Casablanca and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon any time they are on. Raiders of the Lost Arc was the first one I paid to see again and again. I have always been a big Star Wars fan too. She Wore a Yellow Ribbon with John Wayne and the dirty shirt blues has a lot of what I like and makes me think about things: code, honor and respect.

10. kriszelunka (527) | 2 years ago | Ghost is definitely up there on my top ten favourite list, along with Moulin Rouge, Ever After, 10 Things I Hate About You and several others. However, my all time favourite movie is Dirty Dancing. I've seen it more than 100 times because it's the movie I put on if I need to cry, or if I want to be uplifted.
