What film has sold the most tickets in the history of motion pictures? Also elaborate why you think that is... there is a very good reason.

I would say The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. Maybe because we all have little magic within us. Those movies were watched by kids and adults of all age.

Good guess but there is another variable that you have not thought of. I'll throw a bone out there. 1. This movie is still in theatres. 2. This movie is not a 'first run' movie.

I think perhaps it is the Star Wars. It is a very famous movie all over the world. And its products sell well.

That is a darn good guess but nope. Ok here's a hint. The Bible is the #1 selling book of ALL-TIME. Why? And no the movie has nothing to do with the Bible but figure out the reason for it being the #1 book and apply that to the movies and you should get it.

Star Wars is heading in the right direction. Another hint: The movie won 10 Academy Awards.

Is it the 'West side story?' May be it is because it is about a boy who falls in love with a Jewish girl who has survived the Holocaust and immigrated from Israel.

It has NOTHING to do with the Bible... but in another respect you are getting closer. What is different between the Ten Commandments and Titanic that doesn't have to do with actors or the bible.

I have no idea. But I do watch a lot of great films already. Both foreign and local. For me, it's not how much the movie earns but what it teaches its audience that counts most.

So movies that are comedies or dramas are totally out for you... it is the movie that has a moral lesson either explicitly or hidden inside that does it for you.

i would say it has to be "schindler's list" maybe because people, even the new generations are still very much intrigue about what really happened during that time. everybody loves to see that their suffering are nothing compared to what the other people have.
