How can I sleep better while on vacation?  

Hello, I am a 19 year old female and I always have problems sleeping when I am on vacation. I have never traveled alone before but I am thinking about visiting Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada or maybe Massachusetts. I plan on staying in a hostel dorm to save money. When I do go on vacation I go with my parents both of them snore and I have problems sleeping. I will use ear plugs, and take a sleeping pill like Sominex with 50mg of Diphenhydramine. When I go on vacation I get around 3-4 hours of sleep a night, normally at home I get 8 or more. I only use sleeping aids when I go on vacation. I sometimes even have a hard time sleeping when I'm on vacation even when I do not sleep in the same room with anyone. I really need some help on sleeping better while on vacation.
