I shouldn't be surprised that ARC lied to me  

My husband was talking to a person in the Harford County PUblic schools, and about ARC (Association for Retarded Children, back in November Early December we sat down and talked to them about services, they were adamant that in order to get services we could only get them if we put my daughter back in public schools, both my husband and I are very reluctant to do this, we are both also very reluctant to deal with any agency that deals with teh govenrment, but anyway to make a long story short on what Arc told us, a person in the Harford County School system said they can't force you to put your child back in school no matter what they want you to think.


So needless to say I'm even less inclined to go with any services that ARC can offer.

Has any agency like this ever lied to you like this?

It sounds like they say this so that they can get more money from federal government....

While the 'services' may be nice that they can offer, I'm not convinced they have MY childs intersts at heart...

Have any of you bad experiences iwth an aency, and people try ot force you to do something you aren't sure is right for you or your child?
